Re: BiPAP Under Medicare
Under Kaiser Senior Advantage, even after the 13 month rental, Kaiser will still maintain ownership of the machine. They will fix it as long as it can be fixed. That I know. I have no problem with compliance. I was just wondering.

BiPAP Under Medicare
I'm a patient of Kaiser Northern California. I have been using BiPAP therapy for 9 years. I am now a senior citizen and want to get a new BiPAP under my Kaiser Senior Advantage. Will I have to do a new sleep study, although I have been under BiPAP therapy for 9 years? How long will the compliance ve...

Re: An Apria Tale wilth Good Ending for Me
I am mandated to use Apria. When I had no insurance befit for PAP supplies, I got my supplies elsewhere. I only pay Apria online with a credit card. Should anything go sideways (as it has a couple of times), the credit card issuer has been more than helpful in getting me a chargeback. As soon as I m...

Re: Travel without my humidifier
I've been using my PAP with a humidifier for eight years because my nostrils would burn without it. I decided to give no humidifier a try again and it was very comfortable. But the first couple of nights, the PAP was noiser, maybe like Darth Vader. But I guess I became more accustomed and it has cea...

An Apria Tale wilth Good Ending for Me
Apria shipped the wrong size mask to me, despite the fact that I carefully had the order repeated twice to me for accuracy. I was told that the $162 retail ($32 copay) mask was not cost efficient to be picked up or shipped back. I was told to keep it or donate it. I sold it. It cost me $3.83 to ship...

Re: Has anyone had Kaiser give them an outside referral?
Kaiser will only give outside referrals for services that are unable to be handled in house. As for the your Dx, Kaiser will not not provide PAP therapy (or pay for supplies) unless there is a Dx of at least moderate OSA. But neither does Medicaid or Medicare.

Re: Mold, throat infections for a year. Humidifier cpap
I just found an easier solution. After almost 8 years, I am able to use a PAP without a humidifier.

I second Chunky Frog's suggestion of getting a cleanable water tank.

Re: Are you on a Bi-Level machine and if so why?
I've been in PAP therapy for almost eight years. I was Rx Auto BiPAP and a full face mask because I'm a mouth breather with huge lungs. I think the BiPAP was more for the exhalation relief than the inhalation necessity. I have bumped it over 20 cm on occasion.

Re: Cpap and essential oil
I use Olbas with a stick inhaler. I take a couple of whiffs before I don my mask. Sometimes, I take a second whiff during my sleep. It works for me. Better than Afrin.

Re: how many times can you trade out cushion?
The DME just fills the Rx. You and your healthcare provider have to get together to get the correct mask and size.

The spammer is KOREAN, not Chinese. There is a difference.

Strange CPAP Talk Connection
On my Android, I Googled "CPAP Talk" and followed the results link. I got to this site, but all the topic discussions were in Hangul (Korean script). Everything else on the site was in English. I thought my Android might need a reboot. That didn't work. I cleared the browser cache. That didn't work....
