Re: Seeing my VA Pulmonoligist later today (question)...
I read the other day about a new nasal mask that you tape to your nose each night. It would cover the nostrils only, so nothing on the bridge. I can't remember what it's called. Is it this one that was discussed here last year? http://www.cpaptalk.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=157431&p=1208693#p1208693 Y...

My ideal mask....nasal pillow that would stay in place in my nose without anything holding it there.... yeah...like that is going to ever happen. I read the other day about a new nasal mask that you tape to your nose each night. It would cover the nostrils only, so nothing on the bridge. I can't re...

Re: Respironics DreamWear Gel: Question regarding front slit
I guess I'm just not sensitive to noise from this slit. I know it is there because I can feel it if I put my hand up to it, but I don't hear a sound from it. Of course I don't hear any noise from my Dreamstation either and other seem to. Silence is Golden! I'm skeptical. The noise could be coming f...

Re: Dreamwear Full Face Mask
The package I have clearly states all the contents. If your CPAP supplier is unable to answer your questions through chat or email, there are others who can. One online provider in particular, which happens to be my favorite, has their version priced slightly higher ($169) and does not have the fit...

Re: Dreamwear Full Face Mask
The pic they are using tricked me for a moment into thinking there was a nasal pillows option with the FFM.  If Respironics had a four-point connection option for their nasal pillows and nasal masks, maybe more people would have success side-sleeping with those. My DreamWear nasal mask w...

Re: Weird feeling during the day - headache/naussia using CPAP
When I started CPAP, and especially when I switched to a full mask after an initial lack of success with nasal pillows, I had a lot more sinus issues. However, after several months with a full face mask, my sinuses cleared up and after four months of a full mask my head felt completely clear. That's...

Re: Dreamwear full face mask
I wish there was a way to adjust the headgear to be able to provide more upward force on nose piece like with pillow/cushion only mask. I know your individual needs may vary due to the shape of your head, but really the only thing I have to watch for when I put on my Dreamwear FFM is to make sure t...

Re: Dreamwear full face mask
What size frame are you using? You might benefit from a smaller frame to help hold that cushion more securely to the nose area. Or maybe do what I did and add more fleece wraps to help snug things up a bit...and I was already using the small frame. Pugsy, maybe you should contact Respironics about ...

Re: Dreamwear Full Face Mask
Thanks for all the replies and links. I will most likely have to purchase the first one when I can. I have been wearing a medium in all the other masks so I will take a gamble with that size. Perhaps there will be a template coming soon to use. I tried Dreamwear before I realized I require a full f...

Re: Respironics DreamWear Full Face Mask Review
The AmaraView left strap marks, the face mask felt like I was in a bad steam bath every time I exhaled, and I think I began to lose consciousness when the sleep tech cinched down the straps just tight enough (he says) to stop the leaking. The Dreamwear FFM does not have to be very tight to work if ...

Re: Respironics DreamWear Full Face Mask Review
Mouth breathing won't be a cause of any large leaks with the DreamWear Full face mask. It's mask seal or mask movement that is the culprit and part of why I had larger leaks and tried so hard to snug the frame up.... It sounds like Pugsy's face might not be the right shape for the Dreamwear frame. ...

Re: Respironics DreamWear Full Face Mask Review
I chatted with the folks at the link that Pugsy provided. They confirmed that the headgear they had was for the full mask, not the nasal mask, and they removed the photo that showed the Dreamwear nasal headgear. They also said that Respironics suggested using the same template as that of the Dreamwe...

Re: Plugged Nose with Nasal Mask
I use nasal pillows and occasionally have a stuffy nose due to allergies or colds. I've found that if I can get my nose clear before I go to bed, using the neti pot, Breathe Right strips, or even Sudafed as a last resort, then my nose will continue to stay clear as long as air is flowing through the...

Re: UARS, low numbers bad sleep, MMA, now on CPAP
This thread got me curious about PowerBreathe, but after extensive research I decided that either "Expand-A-Lung" or "The Breather" would best meet my needs. I've been fighting with my Airfit P10 nasal pillows off and on for a long time. Yesterday my Expand-A-Lung arrived in the mail. I did the exer...

Re: Resmed Airfit P20
I just got my setup yesterday and was interested in the P10. The tech guy steered me away from it though in favor of the Swift FX (he said that the P10 head straps tend to stretch and you lose the fit). Have you compared the two? What is it about the P10 that you especially like? Why do techs keep ...
