Re: Two new Resmed Masks---coming soon?

I hope someday there becomes available for every cpap machine a top loading solution like the dreamWear mask that I have - it is working very well for me. Took a few weeks to get the right tension on the headgear straps to keep leak rate low, and minimize shifting when I roll over. Sometimes I get s...

Re: OT: Time out and/or Duke it out thread

I come here to learn and to share my experiences for however it might help others. When I read a post that begins with by scolding, berating, belittling or chastising the writer of a post, I don't finish reading it, even it I might be missing something useful to know. I prefer to get my education fr...

Maybe the questions you asked of someone who hasn't posted here in eleven years will also transcend the passage of time.

Re: Nasal pillow recommendations needed please

The dreamwear mask has the hose connection at the top of your head as opposed to the front of the mask. The top of the mask is also where most of the exhaled air escapes from so air is not shooting out from the front of the mask, but from the top. It's not a pillow but it fits similar to one, maybe...

Amy, You might want to check the dates of posts before you reply. Trodello made one post in 2005 and left. (Maybe he took the risk and died. )

Re: Thanks a lot!

All those stupid Three Stooges comments would be semi-amusing if I wasn't serious about this. (I thought this was a serious forum, anyway) T..... ....the US Army controls the deployments, and they have a policy that says Sleep Apnea is a non-deployable condition. But, if I get a letter signed by my...

Re: DME Advice Sought

It's hard for me to suggest a nasal mask for you to try because I really don't have all that much experience with them. Plus I don't know what your needs and preferences are but I was just going on what you said about the mask which leads me to believe you aren't so happy with it. I am using Mirage...

Re: Is Provent Therapy for me?

Last week, I come across a new CPAP therapy previously unknown to me. I am curious, is there anyone around here using provent therapy who can share first hand experiences, its benefit and cost vs a traditional water-based cpap therapy? Here is a video link about provent therapy. https://www.youtube...

Re: They Tell Me I Need This Machine

I find it Intolerable ! .... - getting desperate Have you tried this: get into bed and semi recline with some pillows propping you up. turn on a movie, or open up a good book put on the mask. turn on the air. spend some time paying attention to the way the machine works, while you are awake. move a...

Re: Newbie would like to hear success stories, please.

I'm three days in with my machine and sleeping like a baby!

It's a dream come true - I've been sleeping poorly for nearly ten years and wish someone had suggested a sleep study nine years ago.

Re: Poll: What type of mask do you use?

Dreamwear nasal mask. For me it is very comfortable, average over 8 hours of good rest every night. What I really like is once I have the velcro straps set it pulls on like a Catchers Mask. The hose goes out the top of the mask. I don't even feel like trying any other masks to see if one works bett...
