ResMed CPAP machine tips easily
A few months ago, I got a ResMed Aircurve 10 bipap machine because my Phillips Dreamstation machine was recalled. Since then a few times, including last night, I somehow pulled on the hose during the night and the machine partially tipped causing the hose to start squirting a lot of water on my face...

Re: Had it with local CPAP suppliers
I use Lincare and they are just OK, not great. They bought out the regional DME I was using. Fortunately it is the same people I deal with. So if you have a phone number for a local office of Lincare that happens to have good people, then it might work out OK. But I advise against trying to ask for ...

Re: Is this new iNAP sleep device just as good as CPAP? Any of you try it before or know someone who has?
Looks like this isn't available yet in the US? If it reduces the number of apnea events (AHI), I'd like to own something like this for napping in the car on long drives, or for when I occasionally like to nap in my easy chair in the living room. I do use a cervical pillow in those situations but don...

Re: New AirFit F20 and some issues
My F20 mask never 'scoots up', but I don't get (visible or noticeable) condensation in it either. It sounds like maybe your mask is too small or the straps are too tight? I love my F20 but sometimes it makes a red mark the bridge of my nose so when that starts happening, I put moleskin on my nose at...

Re: DMEs
I don't know if this is getting too off-topic (if so, please ignore this question), but Pugsy it would be helpful if you could explain why "the supplement would cost me an arm and a leg because I got Medicare prior to age 65. I am 68 now but the fact that I got on Medicare prior to age 65 is baggage...

Re: Is there a way to find out how much Bi-Flex reduces EPAP?
The only reason my IPAP is so low is because I tend to lie awake in bed a long time in the morning and breath oddly at those times and get lots of fake 'apneas'. I'm afraid if I set max IPAP to 20, auto mode will blast me really high while I'm lying awake, giving me more aerophagia. I don't underst...

Re: Kbh209's CPAP questions and updates
I very much understand being naturally passive, it is an inherited or else a habitual ingrained or trained personality trait and it helps you get along with everyone. But it is sometimes fortunate for me (healthwise) that I was born a more demanding person  so I don't have to 'go outside my com...

Re: Is there a way to find out how much Bi-Flex reduces EPAP?
I have a Dreamstation BiPap (fixed EPAP and IPAP pressures but planning to try auto mode again soon) and I'm really confused about why would someone turn on the Bi-flex rather than just lowering the min EPAP or increasing the PS. Can anyone please explain? Do you recommend I turn on the Bi-flex when...

Re: Should I mention this to our sleep specialist
Silly question, but since I don't think Dreamstation machines show UAs (unclassified apneas) and I'm not familiar with those, I wondered what types of things might cause those UAs? I understand they can't be classified, but do you have some ideas of what types of things it might be? My AHI shoots up...

Re: Kbh209's CPAP questions and soapbox
Medicare does not care if you have an auto adjusting machine or not. A fixed pressure machine and an auto adjusting machine both have the same HCPS code. The DME will try to sell you the machine that gives them the maximum profit. My wife and I both have auto adjusting machines and were obtained th...

Re: Frustrated living wife needs understanding and some honest knowledge
Do you have kids together? Maybe not if you haven't been intimate in 8 years, but perhaps you conceived before that? If not, did you ever want kids, or are you beyond the age of that being a consideration? If you don't have kids together, maybe it is time to think about separating or divorce. I know...

Re: Frustrated living wife needs understanding and some honest knowledge
Can someone help me understand any opinions please. Or some advise I think the first thing is to get his AHI under control, and the first step of that is getting him to use the Oscar software to monitor his numbers. If you do not post his Oscar charts on here, we cannot offer any advice on how to i...
