Re: Question about Ecoflow Delta power backup, and Aircurve 10 Vauto

@Dog Slobber Thanks for the detailed reply. Very helpful. I did further research based on what you said. I found some info which I feel I should bring up, as it changes things a bit: I read the manual carefully regarding the "entry-level UPS mode," where you have the Ecoflow plugged into the AC wall...

Question about Ecoflow Delta power backup, and Aircurve 10 Vauto

First let me say I already researched this topic, read some webpages about electrical stuff, and read another thread on this forum, but I'm still a bit confused and unsure of the solution to my specific situation, which is why I'm posting this thread. I'm not great at math and all the electrical ter...

Re: Does ResMed AirCurve know the difference between mask leak vs mouth leak?

OK. I set up and used my Aircurve 10 Vauto last night for the first time. I really love this thing already. It's going to take some getting used to things and tweaking the settings (which I already did last night quite a bit). The stats / myair app says I need to adjust the mask / get a better seal....

Does ResMed AirCurve know the difference between mask leak vs mouth leak?

Just curious if the machine can tell the difference between a leak at my mask / nose, vs my mouth opening and the air blowing out that way

Thanks

Re: New ResMed three questions about packaging and sterilization

What are your thoughts about the sticker they put on the device? Do companies do that often? Should I be concerned? They ALL do that. Common practice. Take an alcohol swab and just wipe down the parts of the machine you can get to with your fingers. Or call them up and tell them you want a machine ...

New ResMed three questions about packaging and sterilization

Got my new ResMed Aircurve 10 VAuto today from Sleeplay. I've never ordered from them so I was taking a chance on it. It looks new and all the parts were wrapped in plastic as expected, except that the actual PAP/device was NOT wrapped in plastic. It was just inside the storage bag with no wrapping....

Re: Are "in-line filters" legit and useful? or just a scam?

Inline filters (Antibacterial) can be of huge value, especially to allergy sufferers. When using one on a ResMed, ensure that you turn on the AB setting as they affect the pressure. The AB setting adjusts for the difference. One of the problems with using one on Respironics, is there isn't setting ...

Are "in-line filters" legit and useful? or just a scam?

Per the Philips recall about the foam particles, someone online mentioned using "in-line filters" such as these which can help strain out some of the foam particles (if there are any in the first place). Apparently people use them anyway thinking it cleans the air. This seems kind of scammy or overr...

Re: BiLevel Machine Suggestions and Question about AirCurve

Still awaiting reply from RX service to find out if they'll write it up for BiLevel, but figured I should start researching models asap in case it works out. There is apparently a shortage of machines due to supply chain and probably more so now the Philips recall, so every second counts. Anyway......

Re: Question re:Bi-level machine RX requirements and other things

I did the online telehealth call and the doctor said they are not allowed to write RX for medical equipment. Then I tried to schedule a telehealth call with a few different local doctors I've seen before, including my sleep doc, and they were either not available at all, or two months out, or the we...

Re: Question re:Bi-level machine RX requirements and other things

Update on the sitch: Tried to schedule an appointment with my normal sleep apnea doc but the entire office is booked out two months. I now see this as a great thing, because it led me to ask myself how I could see a doc faster, which led me to realize it would be worth a shot doing a telehealth call...

Re: Question re:Bi-level machine RX requirements and other things

The machine Pugsy posted is an absolute bargain but I can understand you wanting to get something brand new because of Covid. I decided to put myself on BiPAP simply for comfort and it was the best move I ever made. While I don't really need BiPAP it won't hurt me. When I required an Rx I simply we...

Re: Question re:Bi-level machine RX requirements and other things

thank you to everyone who replied more questions and clarification: - besides the higher pressure capability of a bilevel (relative to an apap), isn't the other difference of a bilevel that it can be set to a lower exhale pressure so it's easier to exhale against a high pressure? - I want to buy a b...
