Re: Pillows!
I use an EnduriMed memory foam pillow and I love it! It lets me sleep on my side comfortably with a FFM on. Highly recommended!

Re: Malatonin- how much do you take before bedtime?
I take 10mg of the "Time Release" (this is important because it helps me stay asleep) type of Melatonin a night. Works great for me. If regular Melatonin isn't helping you stay sleep, I recommend trying the Time Release type.

Re: ResMed AirSense 10 "Smart Start" Doesn't Shut Down
I was having the same issue as the OP and what I did after reading this thread and getting the idea from one of palerider's posst in this topic was I was replaced the air filter (which I think was in a bad position which was apparently causing the issue) with a new one which solved the issue for me....

Re: Relatively new, blind CPAP user.
Sometimes the best solution is simply to ask someone else to help you make the adjustments you want to make to the machine's settings. Like others have said, you won't have to change the settings every night once you've figured out the pressure settings you want to set it to and the small handful of...

I use a fleece cover on my heated hose without any issues whatsoever.

Still more dignified than Star Trek V.

I would contact the place where you got it from to see if they can send it in for repair or replacement of some kind.

Re: Repairing the stretched-out end of a CPAP hose- how do you do it?
Someone on the ApneaBoard forums suggested I just put a rubber band around the rubber end of the hose (to make it more snug) and that seems so simple it just might work! :) Someone HERE suggested it too... It's a simple fix. You can use a variety of things, what I'd recommend is either a rubber ban...

For me it was just getting the right pressure dialed in at my Sleep Study.

Re: Newbie questions
I would wake up after an hour or two in a panic gasping and / or screaming because my air supply was being cut down severely or cut off. That stopped once my airway was kept open with the CPAP machine.

Re: Anyone bought a CPAP Cleaner?
All I ever do is change the filter once in a while and use mask wipes. I see no reason to wash the hose or do anything else. SoClean etc is a scam. I've seen it turn people's mask cushion and other stuff yellow...no thanks Ditto. That's all I do as well and I've never had any issues. I always use d...

I always just top off the water chamber the next morning and I've never had an issue (when using distilled water).

Finding the right pressure setting and getting other settings dialed in. Finding a comfortable mask and the right humidity setting and hose temperature help make it more comfortable, too.

If all you use is distilled water you really don't ever need to clean it.
