Any other ideas????
Maybe the big software update they pushed is ignoring breaks under xx seconds. I've seen quite a few people post that they stop and restart their machines if they wake up during the night to kick off the ramp again.

Being on CPAP is not as bad as it seems up front.
There are way worse treatments for way worse conditions. All we have to do is slip on a damn mask at bedtime for a great night's sleep.

Re: diagnosed with sleep apnea, need some advice

Why torture yourself, the sleep center, and the doctor? If you don't want to do it, don't do it. You don't need anyone's justification.

Re: How would I know if new cpap isn't working properly?

Mask on/off is usually poor, because I get up a couple times a night (to pee, etc). Not sure what I can conclude from that. That can be an indication that you're not sleeping as well as you think, depending on other medical issues that might be causing it. The docs will tell you that 2.5 events per...

Re: CPAP won't stay on

Make sure everything is tight, especially the water chamber. If the machine senses uncontrolled airflow and you have Autostart enabled it will turn itself off, as it thinks you have removed your mask.

Re: Does modem on Resmed AirSense 11 work internationally?

. . . now traveling in Europe and I've hit a couple of countries and seems to be connecting fine to local networks and reporting back. Data showing up on Myair as usual. So it should be fine if you want to be outside of USA for a while (1 month+) and want to meet compliance. Yeah, my experience as ...

Re: First-time CPAP Machine Help (Newly Diagnosed OSA)!

1. You can do this yourself if you're mildly competent. 2. I'd get the 11 just for the internet connectivity. There is a lot of hate for MyAir here (Resmed's cloud dashboard) but it's a useful tool, especially for new people. Other than the connectivity there are few tangible differences between the...

Re: Shargeek Storm 2 Battery Review

I recently got to use the Storm 2 for an entire night with my new Airsense 11 Autoset. It did require a new cable (of course) since the setup for the Airsense 10 wouldn't work. The cable and adapter are linked below. The unit ran for 8 hours and 27 minutes from a full charge to completely empty at a...

Re: Just diagnosed / Luna G3

It's a bit more than that. How does the machine know to adjust pressure in AutoSet mode? After you fall asleep and your pressure needs begin to vary, your AutoSet device responds to three separate parameters, based on the degree of airway blockage caused by your sleep apnea: inspiratory flow limita...

Re: Just diagnosed / Luna G3

I am also questioning the auto cpap (wouldn't this be more reactive than pro-active?) That's a great philosophical question. Auto CPAP uses a pressure range. The lower, minimum pressure is always there. I would call that proactive, because it's always working to keep your airway open. When the mach...

Re: confused by my airsense autoset 11 machine

I found my pressure range is 4 to 20. So, the autoset thing means it ramps up to 4 and senses when I need to go higher? Is that right? Or does it start at 4 and ramp up to 20 during the ramp? It means your minimum pressure is set to 4. That's where your machine will start unless and until it senses...
