Re: Titration study says I need 5 cm H2O pressure
Your leaks are clearly happening when your pressure ramps up. Another reason to try and kill off the flow limitations in the first place with a higher minimum. No FLs,....no reason for your machine to ramp your pressure and cause leaks. You may want to go to 8.5, then 9, etc. Try and find the lowest...

Re: Strange Cpap results.
Check out this thread, and post your info and a chart. Nobody will really be able to tell you much of anything without specific information. http://www.cpaptalk.com/viewtopic/t172378/Sticky--Newbies-PLEASE-READ-BEFORE-POSTING.html I wouldn't have any idea why you would feel that way from Cpap, but I...

Re: Titration study says I need 5 cm H2O pressure
Looking at that chart, it appears if you knocked your min up to 9cm, it might kill all of those FLs and not go any higher. Your chart looks good to me, for what it's worth.

I got one of the end covers from our sponsor 11/24/17 when I bought that AirStart10 Cpap (back-up) on sale for 185 bucks. It was $13.69 with free shipping.
I actually use it on occasion!

Re: Anyone else addicted to CPAP?
Like you...my back/pelvic pain issues are a much bigger problem and proving a lot more difficult to manage. Though... I just had the RFA thing done this past Wed on 8 facets in lumbar/sacral area ....report on it to follow once I give it more time to see how I fair. I would be very interested in he...

Re: Anyone else addicted to CPAP?
I am one of the exceptions here I guess. Using my machine doesn't 'bother' me, nor do I feel like I have been sentenced to a life of torture or anything, but I still would prefer sleeping without if I could. I am one of the few it seems that really can't tell any difference in how I feel after I sta...

Re: Best Cleaning Procedure
I use wipes on my nasal pillows every night or two, and wash my humidifier tank in hot water once a week IF I remember it. My tank is over a year old and still looks like new. (use distilled water) I wash my hose in hot water and dish soap every few months, give or take. It's also still like new, wi...

Re: How large does a 'large leak' have to be,.........
So it sounds like anything up to 30 (to be safe) is ok as long as it isn't causing you to wake up.
Thank you for the replies.

How large does a 'large leak' have to be,.........
before it really impacts therapy? I know Pugsy, and others have talked about this before, but I can't seem to find what I am looking for now. For whatever reason, I have started having issues with mouth leaks again recently. I started with mouth leaks, but trained myself to quit breathing through my...

Re: On the brink of desperation - Can not stay asleep still
Looks like they have you on the default 4/20 settings. Myself,....I would bump the min up to 7cm, and the max to 15cm with EPR of 3. You will probably spend 90% of the night at 7 where you will get full benefit of the EPR. I am no expert, so wait for those opinions. I am only saying what I would do ...

Re: New user.... trying to solve tiredness
Okie and Julie, thanks for the tip on the collars. I will look into that. realshelby..... from what I understand the nasal mask does not cover the mouth. During sleep I also breath through my mouth and that's where my snoring comes from. I'm new to all of this, but I think I have to have both my mo...

Re: I have noticed something strange lately
The biggest variable in cpap therapy is that thing attached to the mask... While you may not think anything has changed in you, there are so very many variables... I believe you are correct, as my 2 or 3 OAs, and a hypop or two a night have returned as strangely as they left. I called Accurat...

Re: My old data thread, new mask need help please.
That last chart looks quite a bit better actually,....think you're on the right track. I just wanted to warn you about the Amara View, at the pressures you seem to require. I tried one, and couldn't get the thing to not leak badly at even my initial 8cm setting. Many others here have had the ...
