Dreamwear pillow strange noise

The first night I used the Dreamwear med pillow the only noise I hear was the vent noise. The second night and every night after I hear a gurgling noise that sounded like it was coming from the part at the base of my nose. I figured there was some water in there, but when I looked it was dry. I have...

Re: Did your Dreamstation wifi card come with unit?

Sorry I was not clear. I meant, if the Dr does not have my data in their Philips software in office (via wifi/cell or SD card) they will probably care to see my Sleepyhead graphs and numbers.

Re: First night...

Very interesting development last night... I change the pressure to min and max of 9.0 as an experiment. I also put the Flex back to 2 (it was at 1). When I woke up I glanced at the display and it said 5.6, so I assumed it was business as usual and no change from my average. Although I felt strangel...

Re: First night...

In my lab sleep tests (two over 9 years) I had one CA in each. So, I am pretty sure all the Clear Airway flags are either false alarms, pressure rise induced or awake events. My wife and I are also in the process of replacing our mattress... 8 years ago we bought the top of the line Beautyrest Black...

Re: First night...

I used the Dreamwear med pillow the last two night and it feels more comfortable than the cushion. I get no leaks except for occasionally when I roll over and the side piece pushes the pillow out of place... I guess I have to learn to not roll my head, but pick up and place it down. I know I am impa...

Re: Did your Dreamstation wifi card come with unit?

Thanks! The Dreamstation has both a cellular and wifi module option. I prefer Wifi. I am mainly pissed because they told me it came with it and then it did not... looks like it is another $80 module if I want to auto send to my Dr. I will just check if they can read the card at the office. It is not...

Did your Dreamstation wifi card come with unit?

I bought from a reputable online store that has a brick and mortar store an hour away from me. They told me before I bought the Dreamstation that it came with a wifi card. When I got it I found it did not have the card. They then told me it was built in, which I knew was incorrect. Then they told me...

What about a person drives pressure level?

I assume it is a number of factors, but I am curious if there is any research on what physical characteristics of a person drive required pressure for proper CPAP therapy... ie. I am guessing that two different people having severe apneas may need very different pressure stetings to get to <1 AHI......

Re: First night...

No card in the side slot... cellular or wifi. My Dr wants to have the data sent in so they can see it, and the place I bought it told me it came with the card... then after I received the machine and questioned them on it they said it was built in... then they finally said, no it does not come with ...

Re: First night...

I tried the large cushion just now and it seems better... the mask test on the Dreamstation seems poor... with the large, it is green when inhaling and red when exhaling. Book said green is good red is bad. Makes no sense... how does it detect leaks? Any real way to check for leaks other than feel a...

Re: First night...

A-Flex is enabled. I set it to 3 to start the night, but decided to change to 2 before falling asleep since it felt like it was taking too long after exhale to get back up to pressure... so I change to 2 as a first step... tonight was was thinking about changing the other setting I saw (I forget the...

Re: First night...

I did not use the ramp. Tried it while awake and it seemed to make the feeling of not getting enough air worse... ramp was set to start at 4 and get to 8 over 30 minutes. So, when I went to bed I did not enable ramp. I used Sleepyhead to see the details. Clear Airway 12 (most before I fell asleep), ...

Re: First night...

Alright... after first night, some things that I thought would be issues are not, and others that I thought would not be, are... Not issues 1) Machine noise: Passed the wife test. She had no issue getting to sleep and commented on how quiet it was. This was big! 2) Hose attached to me: Really was no...

Re: First night...

Thanks for all the replies so quickly! Yes, i had a sleep study... actually one 9 years ago (diagnosed mild) and chose the exercise/weight loss path. And another done a few weeks ago and diagnosed moderate... 19.6 AHI, so giving the APAP a try. My Dr. has been a big mess to deal with... they own the...

First night...

This forum has been incredibly helpful... I am getting started tonight with a Dreamstation Auto. Just curious if there is any benefit to me setting things at a constant 4 to baseline my sleep for a night before I set it to the 8-20 my Dr specified. Or, can I really do that any time in the future and...
