Re: Sleep Doctor doesn't look at data
My Dermatologist "requires" I go to a specific specialty pharmacy for my psoriasis injection. Ok not officially requires but he was not happy when I mentioned I was considering going to another one. Appears that this pharmacy advertises to doctors that they will handle all the pre-authorization pape...

Re: OSA and acid reflux, looking for advice
Thanks Truffles for bringing this topic up. I have acid reflux that suddenly got bad a couple of years ago, I think it has to do with my switch of sleep aids from Ambien to Trazodone after being diagnosed with OSA. I had it so bad I stopped eating anything that could give me GERD at all and saw a ga...

Re: Mask usage getting worse over past 6 months
I've noticed my 95% cpap pressure (according to oscar) is like 12.80-12.90 now, the max is at 13. You don't mention what the AHI is???? BTW, most of us set the max at 20. The machine won't go any higher than it needs to. Setting it at 20 allows the machine to go higher on a rare night when your pre...

Mask usage getting worse over past 6 months
So I've never quite mastered wearing the mask all night (except for a handful of times). I've been using the machine for a couple of years but not using it all night as you can imagine is not helping my daytime fatigue. I recently tried a new sleep doc and his idea was to narrow my pressure from 6-1...

Re: Difficult to find distilled water?
During our “empty shelves” hoarding period, I always found some in the baby section of the store. Different packaging to attract new parents. Good to know, back in the covid hoarding time, I was looking all over for it, couldn't find it, called different pharmacys but finally found it at Home Depot...

Re: Can't find distilled H20, try here
Which is easier? driving to every store in town desperately searching for a gallon, or rinsing out the tank every morning? *scratching head* Apparently we have a difference in opinion on this. How bout I do it my way you do it yours? AND for those who agree with me they can consider my advice...I t...

Can't find distilled H20, try here
So I'm not going to describe the product like most people do because I don't want this to come up via google. However if you are in need of some distilled H2O for your CPAP, I found a good supply at Home Depot. The one I work for is small and it's in a wierd place so perhaps that's why we had some b...

Re: Need a new DME provider, what do I need to get one
No I didn't want to exchange the mask I had for a year, I had it like 28-29 days and they said because I had done a exchange 1 year ago I couldn't. They only do 1 exchange per customer period doesn't matter how long ago your 1 exchange was.

Need a new DME provider, what do I need to get one
So, I've been on CPAP for like 2 years (I was on it for a couple of months 3 years ago but stopped) without much success with keeping my mask on. I've tried a couple of different masks, I put waterproof tape to tape the straps to my face (worked for like a week) but no dice about 1/2 of my days are ...

SLEEP APNEA AND ED?
I have recently been having some minor issues with ED. Occasional stuff that will happen for a couple of minutes and then I'm fine. My question is Sleep Apnea the boner killer that my Google search says it is. I have had trouble keeping my mask on so my SA isnt being properly treated. I had discusse...

Sleep Apnea and sleeping on a plane
I was looking at finding flights for my parents from NYC to Hawaii and I noticed if I was going it would have be a very long day for me as I couldn't really sleep on the flight. Has any one ever used there CPAP on a plane before?? I would assume that one would have to have a battery for it as I don'...

Re: Sleeping pills
I'm on Trazodone 100mg for sleep, was on Ambien prior to my sleep apnea diagnosis. Most nights if I try to wake up before getting 7 hrs, it's hard so you shouldn't have a problem staying asleep.
I of course have trouble keeping my mask on at times so it worries me but I'm still here so...

Gain weight in face: new mask?
I gained a lot of weight recently (I know it's bad for the sleep apnea) some of it in my face, is it possible that I need to move from a medium to large cushion on my eson 2. It feels more uncomfortable than usual.
