Re: Weird leaking issue with F30 elbow valve after washing
I have this same issue and I’m pretty sure the leak is from the elbow as you suggested. The snapping together of the two parts of the mask is certainly a possible source of leak but I think there is some problem with the diffuser when it gets wet. It seems to go away after a few hours of use (my lo...

Re: Complex Sleep Apnea, Young & Concerned
I even wonder how accurate these sleep studies are when it comes to Centrals? After all our CPAP machines mark any sort of arousal or deep sigh as a Central. Couldn't the same thing be occurring in these studies? That is not correct an event needs to be over 10 seconds long to be scored do you ofte...

Re: mask leak
It all depends how much time you spend leaking air out of your mouth. A small amount of mouth leaks won’t adversely affect your treatment. Download OSCAR and post some graphs so we can see how bad it is

Re: Can I use boiled tap water in my humidifier tank?
You don’t have to use distilled water any still water is fine no need to boil it if it’s safe to drink. In the EU and UK Resmed manuals say use Water no mention of distilled. However you will then get a build up of minerals gradually in the water tank, wipe out with a tissue after use and clean regu...

Re: Newbie help
There is no need to wash your mask. Every day a quick wipe with some form of wet wipe is sufficient then maybe weekly washing in soap and water. The tube can left I clean my tube about once every 6 months

Re: Is the new mask leaking too much?
Raise your min. pressure to e.g. 7 or 8 - it's very clear it needs more to be effective. Thank you, Julie and apologise for the delayed response. Was travelling. Why do you say that we need to increase the minimum pressure? Could you please elaborate? A Philips machine is slow to raise pressure and...

Re: It keeps me Awake
The F20 mask can be noisy unless you have the quiet elbow. The noise is caused by air blowing out the vents at the front of the mask

Julie,
A BiLevel has exhale relief by nature of having two different pressures one for inhale ipap and exhale Epap the difference between the two can be greater than the value of 3 offered by a Resmed Autoset and EPR.

Re: Newbie to Forum Long Time CPAP user Looking to Improve Therapy
Turning off your EPR has reduced your CA's but has caused the Hypopnoeas to increase meaning your AHI has increased, often it's a balancing act try using an EPR of 1 as recommended by Palerider.
