I’m back after a long illness. Lost over 95 lbs and still using my cpap machine faithfully.
Hope to catch up soon.

Re: Surgery Recovery Room. Without PAP
I just had a procedure done yesterday morning. They asked me if I used a cpap while they were prepping me. I said yes, and they had one ready in case i needed it. In the recovery room, the nurses never left my side and i was monitored continuously until I was released. They probably did not know yo...

Re: Is it possible?
Just a quick update. Things are going well with the new mask. The chin strap I ordered works like a dream. Its made of thin mesh so its soft and cool. I look totally ridiculous when I go to bed with the anti snore pillow, the chin strap, and the mask but its comfortable sleeping and my leak rate las...

Re: OK, I need help understanding my CPAP Machine.
Compare your machine stats to your MyAir stats and see if they match. If they do, and you’re sure you slept longer ..then your machine could have a problem. If they dont match up, then chances are your cell service was too sketchy for MyAir to work properly.

Re: Is it possible?
First night observations. I woke up at 3:45 with my mask all whopper jawed and blowing air in my face. Seems the back strap wiggled up the back of my head and broke the seal. I fixed everything and went back to bed about an hour later. The hose hooking to the top of my head instead of the front felt...

Re: Is it possible?
So this afternoon I got the Dreamwear mask out of the pkg and fitted it to my face. Turned it on and no leaks. Tried to open my mouth and breathe. Yep I can. Can talk a little before it started squeaking and farting (I need practice). Tried sticking my tongue out and no way. I will report back tomor...

Re: Is it possible?
A few other things I noticed were that the tip of my tongue was dry. Not uncomfortable dry but it was noticeable. Air drying out my tongue from my mouth being open? Also my jaw ached from hanging wide open. I think that may have been what woke me up. Thats why Im thinking a chin strap might feel goo...

Re: Is it possible?
Chinstraps can't keep your lips closed... but tape can and many use it. Do a forum 'search' to find out more about it. Thanks. I dont feel comfortable taping, as I cough quite a bit at night. I’m mainly thinking chinstrap to hold my gaping jaw up. Do you think a person can have their mouth open wit...

Is it possible?
This morning, like many mornings, I woke up slowly and noticed my mouth was hanging open like the Grand Canyon. But this morning, unlike any other morning, I realized I was still breathing thru my nose. I wear a hybrid mask which has nasal pillows and an oral mouth piece. Now Im wondering if I could...

Re: Online Shop recommendations?
I posted a little while ago about my issues with the Dreamstation not seeming to react to my disturbances. I got very helpful advice from Palerider, zonker and others. I set my base pressure from 6 to 8 and dropped about 0.5AHI. But looking at my charts, the Dreamstation simply seems to be not reac...

Re: CPAP mask straps way too tight!
First thank you to everyone that replied, but I think I need to reiterate a few points since sone of you dont seem to understand what I'm talking about. 1) My cpap machine DOES NOT AUTO ADJUST PRESSURE. It stays at a steady 14 cm the whole time. This is verified my the MyAir app which gives me dail...
