Re: Poor Puppy - Sleep Apnea
Pets, dogs, should not be allowed in the passenger cabin unless they are service dogs for blind people or veterans. Many people are scamming with fake service animals. Airlines and the government need to correct this nonsense. I like the policy most airlines use, and whose employees mostly know the...

Re: What kind of tape do folks use?
Nexcare water resistant tape, white, spool of 30 meters, a 3M product. Works well. I haven't been able to get a second use of the same strip of that tape, so a new strip goes on each night.

Re: Gaining weight on cpap
The abstract surmises that the weight gain is likely due to an increase in lean mass. This means muscle. Muscle is several times denser than adipose tissue. So, if you gain wait during treatment for OSA, there is a better-than-even chance it will be new muscle. Of course, if there are other variable...

... Side Note and thoughts about sleeping on my right side.... If you have ever had an endoscopy to check for colon problems, you will almost certainly have been placed on the recovery surface in the fetal position on your LEFT side. This is the natural position to expel the gases left in the lower...

Re: Vapor distilled water
Most drug stores sell it by the gallon for two or three dollars . That must be special Canadian distilled water.  We in the US pay 68 cents for a gallon at Walmart. No, it's Canadian 'dollars'....much like a peso, only poorer. My DME cautioned me about using distilled w...

Re: Vapor distilled water
I saw 16 oz bottles of Simple Truth vapor distilled water with electrolytes for taste. Does anyone know if this is safe in CPAP machine. The bottle size is what attracted me..if this will work, there would be no need to carry a gallon bottle when traveling. Thanks This sounds like a caffeine-free c...

If this becomes a persistent problem, you may have to ask Our Overlords here for improved privileges. You're already a 'trusted agent'. You should have the outright privilege (and duty) to expunge obvious bot/spammer accounts when you recognize them. Most fora don't post the first five or six posts ...

Re: Obviously he/she/it came back
Pugsy, I posted this several days back, but the post never showed up. I used to work as a mod on a hobby forum. A previously banned troll would wait until Friday, and being tech savvy, he'd re-register with a different computer, different and floating IP, and then drag up dead threads and begin to p...

Re: Will central apneas show up in reports?
The statistics at the side bar do show "Clear Airway" occurrences and they are flagged in purple throughout the Flow Rate chart. Clear airways are SleepyHead's indicators of centrals. So, yes.

I'm 65 and, except for a recently diagnosed atrial fibrillation, was asymptomatic for sleep disturbance of any kind. In fact, to this day I can sleep nine hours and not have to make a trip to the bathroom. My siblings and father are not nearly so lucky.

I used an AS10 Autoset during my initial therapy and monitoring prior to getting insurance approval. I ended up with a straight CPAP Elite model like yours because I have been 'cured' with straight 8 cm H20 pressure all night long with ramp. My Elite uses almost three times the volume of water more ...

Re: Red Face/Green Face
I started to look into getting Sleepyhead but was stumped because it seemed like it wouldn't work with my machine - Resmed Airsense 10 Autoset. Was I reading something wrong in the area where it said what machines it works with? You download the software and execute it. You will have to create a pr...
