Re: Just Found the Respironics Pico

Pico is my secondary mask. Eson2 is my primary mask and is less noisy due to its fabric like diffuser on the exhaust vent. Pico's vent sometimes wakes me. Otherwise, they r quite similar.

Re: Do you still take low-dose aspirin daily?

I will be asking my cardiologist about this during today's appointment....I would be very surprised if he took me off it. Trying to wean off my beta blocker currently.

Had a MI and a stent last July. Been on CPAP since Feb 2018.

Re: CPAP and vertigo

I have BPPV too. The initial CPAP treatment and any subsequent pressure increases triggered my somewhat dormant vertigo symptoms. I recommend keeping the minimum and maximum pressures as low as possible while still treating your OSA.

Re: Medistrom Co-Pilot 24 - still available / where to buy in US?

Interesting.... In 2018, I bought Pilot Plus 24 and a Co-Pilot 24. The Pilot Plus 24 was replaced by the Pilot Lite 24 after it was found to be defective by tech support in Canada. They told me that the Co Pilot 24 was still compatible with the newer Pilot 24 Lite. I haven't hooked them together sin...

Re: ResMed N30i User Review

So I slept with mine for about 5 hours and just could not get a good seal. Also the frame is too small for me. I went back to my trusty Dreamwear with pillows. It may work well for someone with a smaller head but mine is huge (both literally and figuratively...   ). I went so far as...

Re: Resmed N30i.

It sill has some noise for me...less than the Dreamwear however. The regular frame is on the tight side. My Dreamwear's large frame, bought separately, fits me better than the N30i regular frame. Hope that Resmed will come with a large frame size too.

Re: First time CPAP purchase

$1700 to include an APAP, a mask, heated tubing and filters is way too pricey. The same package from several Canadian online CPAP etailers vary from $700 to $900 Canadian. During Black Friday and Boxing Week, these packages were as low as the mid to high $500 range. Unfortunately it is my understand...

Re: Battery Advice

I bought my Resmed DC DC convertor from Sleep Yeti in Alberta. It was under $100. Shipping was not free (free if order over $700), but was around $7 or so.

I am considering the Goal Zero Yeti 400 (non Lithium model)....it was under $500 around the holidays. Regular price is $600.

Re: First time CPAP purchase

Keep a copy of your prescription(s). You may need them later on. Especially the mask prescription. Sheriff Rx is not needed for mask purchases in Canada. Most Canadian CPAP etailers require a Rx....not all however. Dave The original poster did not state their location. Most people here that do that...

Re: ResMed AirFit N30i nasal mask now available at cpap.com

I have found Dreamwear's large frame (had to order this separately) to fit me better than N30i's regular/standard frame. If you have a big head like me, N30i's regular/standard frame may be too tight of a fit.

Re: 24v battery for AirMini?

I had a Medistrom Pilot Plus 24 with the associated Co-Pilot 24 since April 2018 (Co Pilot was bought later...May or June). In the fall of 2018, the Pilot Plus stopped working (ie. not holding a charge). Sent it into Technical Support for assessment and it was replaced with Pilot Lite 24 since the P...

I don't really like having to use it either but I have done it for over 9 years. I like it better than the alternative.   Yep, much better than the alternative. Re: First I've heard of it: Resmed N30i

Used the N30i for the first time last night. It worked quite well. Better than the Dreamwear cushions with the upsized large frame. Less noise with the N30i. Seemed to vent more than the Dreamwear....this could be improved, but it is not deal breaker....could be an issue for your partner however. Th...
