Re: Nine months and still tired

In response to Wulfman and my sleeping position, I'm a side sleeper but have occasionally caught myself on my back. I believe the back episodes are rare. I do wake up approximately 5-6 times a night to move from one side to the other, but I immediately fall back asleep. In response to Longwood, I ha...

Re: Nine months and still tired

I'm not sure if I keep my head down towards my chest, but it's a possibility. I'll have to pay attention to my sleeping position tonight, and if so I'll try your suggestion.

Nine months and still tired

I've now been using cpap for 9 months and I'm still hoping for that moment that others enjoy, but keeps eluding me. It's the "I feel great" moment when I wake up, and to keep that feeling throughout the day. I don't feel any different using cpap nightly than I did before. I've adjusted pressure sett...

Re: Newbie: Still tired and frustrated

I'm submitting 4 more nights of results (I'm leaving out Thursday as it registered zero's across the board) and I have to say I'm encouraged by my results. My daytime drowsiness situation continues to improve, though not eliminated. I realize this will not be an overnight cure, thanks to the encoura...

Re: Newbie: Still tired and frustrated

Thanks once again to all that replied and offered help & suggestions. Here's my numbers for my last 4 nights on apap with my pressure setting to 12/20. My AHI has gotten progressively better each night and so has my daytime drowsiness, though not quite where I want it to be. I realize that the drows...

Re: Newbie: Still tired and frustrated

Here's my downloads from the first 3 nights switching to apap mode from cpap. First a couple of observations: Night 1 - Had a great AHI number and slept almost 9 hours. I would say it's the most sound I've slept in years, but the flip side was I was TOTALLY exhausted the next day for some reason. Ni...

Re: Newbie: Still tired and frustrated

Thanks to everyone that replied. I'm looking forward to the apap mode tonight, and hopefully this will be the step forward I've been waiting for.
I'll post some new data by the weekend.

Re: Newbie: Still tired and frustrated

Yes, had a sleep study a few years back. Tried CPAP but could never get used to it and quit. I told my doctor I was ready to try again so we started out at 7, the pressure setting that was prescribed the first time. Thanks for the apap suggestion. I will try it starting tonight and report back after...

Newbie: Still tired and frustrated

I've been using my CPAP for close to 2 months now and still don't feel rested when I wake up. As a matter of fact I feel no different than pre-CPAP. I went the first 31 days at a pressure setting of 7 with a ramp starting at 4. My avg AHI during that time was 13.37 with a high of 21.54 and a low of ...
