Re: Any Recommendations to Improve Therapy
I would suggest you spend more time addressing the OP's questions and concerns, and much less time criticizing other people who are trying to help rather than blow smoke. I think you need to look in the mirror and ask yourself why you are at this forum. And, be honest. Let's see... Pugsy has just a...

Re: Any Recommendations to Improve Therapy
And I could spend more time helping people if I didn't have to follow around people who think they know it all and like to talk like they do and don't know nearly as much as they think they know. You can save yourself a lot of time then by not responding to my posts. As I said before if I could blo...

Re: AHI jumping to scary levels with new machine.
Why are you using pillows with the machine set to full face mask? That will throw your leak flags off for sure! One of the quirks of SleepyHead. That screenshot was with all four sessions for the day switched to on (little black green bars in bottom left beside each session). Only the first session...

Re: Any Recommendations to Improve Therapy
I have been reading SleepyHead graphs for over 3 years now. We never stop learning unless we choose to. You should take your own advivce: "However one should look at the SleepyHead charts first and get some advice from experienced people here." http://www.cpaptalk.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=170883&p=1...

Re: Any Recommendations to Improve Therapy
Let's be clear....Ron has reportedly been reviewing his wife's results using SleepyHead for 3 years. He's not been a cpap user himself for 3 years...in fact just recently diagnosed and per his own thread...still in the process of sorting out his own issues.. Minimal personal experience. and for som...

Re: Any Recommendations to Improve Therapy
Let's see what's wrong with this picture: less than 2 weeks ago you were asking people how to read sleepyhead graphs and now you think you are qualified to give people therapy settings. I think you might do better not posting at all unless it's a question. I have been reading SleepyHead graphs for ...

Re: Newbie! Getting used to a new sleepy world....
I have NO idea what these mean.... I can tell you that if it means I feel like hell after using this machine, then it's correct. So upset this isn't working better. I'm calling the home Medical place and asking for the "pillows" nose headgear right now to see if that is any better? HELP PLEASE. Fir...

Re: AHI jumping to scary levels with new machine.
I raise the issue because I have anecdotally seen an association between leaks (not major one) and a high frequency of flagged events. Yesterday for example I tried my best to make a Mirage Quattro work for me without leaking. Used it for 35 minutes, and got leak after leak, although the A10 did not...

Re: Any Recommendations to Improve Therapy
Here is an image with the time right before I take off mask expanded. Anything unusual? I also posted an image of last night and I had another challenging night but I made myself remember what I was feeling and it felt like I couldn't get enough oxygen and felt like I was suffocating so I had to op...

Re: Any ideas on what's going on
I got a new machine (S9 to A10) about 10 days ago, I just started using Sleepyhead when I got the new machine). I dropped the pressure from 16 to 14 just to see the difference. I will admit my sleep quality has declined for the last 2 months. Tell me the time frame you want zoomed in on and I will ...

Re: At home sleep test and treatment?
Hi! I'm pretty new to the sleep apnea world, but trying to learn more! It's hard for me to take time to see multiple doctors and I found some online places that will issue me an at-home sleep test, and, if I have sleep apnea, issue me a CPAP without having to see a doctor. Places like Easybreathe o...

Re: Question about obstructive sleep apnea
One of the things you could look at to possibly improve sleeping is a cervical collar. In some people it helps reduce positional induced apnea -- mainly chin down. Another approach would be an orthopedic style pillow that provides more support to the neck. Yes, a basic CPAP machine would give you a ...
