Re: Results After 1 Week - Suggestions for Improvement?

Good questions for me to address. I believe I am feeling better. I don't seem to be as tires in the afternoons as I used to be. As far as sleeping soundly, it varies. I don't have trouble falling asleep and usually sleep about four hours and then wake up. It seems I toss and turn for the rest of the...

Results After 1 Week - Suggestions for Improvement?

Here is my sleepy head graph after 1 week. I upped my minimum pressure to 6 after the second day based on suggestions from people here. Since I'm new at this, I'm soliciting opinions/suggestions for further improvement. Hope this works.

Re: Question About Starting Pressure

Here's a question: Since my provider (the VA) didn't optimize the settings, can they remotely adjust/optimize the settings via the installed modem after they've reviewed a week or two's data?

Re: Question About Starting Pressure

Thank-you for the suggestions. That made a world of difference. I changed the minimum pressure to 6.0 and when up one size on the pillows. Much, much better night. I didn't feel like I was struggling to get enough air at all. :D

Question About Starting Pressure

I received my machine on Wednesday and have used it for two nights. I have found that it feels like I am not getting enough air into my lungs as I try to fall asleep, especially the second night. I haven't looked at the time, but I think this feeling really begins at the end of the ramp up time. My ...

Re: What (A)CPAPs does VA currently furnish?

Good morning. I just received my CPAP from the VA in Nebraska yesterday. I was issued a Phillips Dreamstation Auto with the heated humidifier. The clinic told me their pulmonologist reviewed results from the Dreamstation as well as the RESMed machine and decided the Dreamstation was the preferred de...

Re: DreamStation Auto vs AirSense 10 AutoSet

MurrayNevada, I sense from your avatar that you are a Former Marine. :D Did you obtain your machines from the VA? It is my understanding that these are the two machines the VA generally issues. May I ask why you changed from one to the other? I ask because I will be receiving a machine from the VA n...

Re: VA Nebraska-Western Iowa Healthcare System

Thanks all for your replies. At this stage, everything is helpful. As Okie Bipap sussed out, I'm not yet old enough for Medicare and Tricare for Life. Retired from the USCG in 2006. We've had Tricare Standard since moving back to Nebraska because the nearest prime provider is hundreds of miles away....

This a prescrpition med - Ambien.
Best just disconnect your computer. When my sister was on Ambien, she would go online and buy stuff. And then be really, really surprised when things were delivered. :D

VA Nebraska-Western Iowa Healthcare System

Hi all, I was recently diagnosed with moderate OSA and have an appointment for a CPAP machine fitting on June 13. I am going through the VA Nebraska-Western Iowa Healthcare system and was curious if anyone else uses them for their pulmonology care. I'd like to know how the Drs are and what machines ...

Re: Newbie would like to hear success stories, please.

Greetings! Obviously, since this is my first post, I'm new to the forum, and I'm new to the CPAP world. :D I haven't sleep well for years, I fall asleep for about 3-4 hours, then wake up and am not able to get back to sleep, or just doze. So I had my first sleep study done a couple of weeks ago. The...
