Re: question about leak rate in sleep report. I can't feel leaks but the machine says I'm leaking

Thanks Pugsy. I do wake up occasionally after about 5 to 5 and a half hours of sleep occasionally and I have no idea why. I check my sleep report and then try and go back to sleep. At some point in the near future, I will figure out how to post Sleepyhead data and let you guys look at my night's sle...

question about leak rate in sleep report. I can't feel leaks but the machine says I'm leaking

I run the mask check and get the green smiley face. Also, I can't feel any air leaking around the silicon seals. But when I get my nightly results off of my Resmed Autoset 10, it shows a leak rate of up to 22L/min. I also have a short beard (about 1/4" long) if that matters. I get leaks with both th...

For sale/trade Quatro Air full face mask size large

Does anyone want to buy or trade a new Quatro Air full face mask with a spare new in plastic silicon cushion kit. So you get the mask, headgear, and 2 new silicon cushions. I wore this mask just long enough to do a mask fit and determine that I get some more leaks than with the medium size. I'm up f...

Re: Which mask to ask for?

I'm a noob so take this with a grain of salt. We're a lot alike in some respects. I have 5 kids, almost no money, and I have panic attacks. The most expensive part of sleep apnea for me is missing days or half days of work due to not sleeping plus the lower energy and productivity for a bad nights s...

Re: How to re-assign ResMed MyAir? And EPR question

Do you need MyAir for insurance or commercial driver reasons? If not, you would be better served by Sleepyhead or the advanced screen display. I plan on using Sleepy head and the on screen. I just thought the myair app might be convenient so I can look at the results at work. I don't have regular a...

How to re-assign ResMed MyAir? And EPR question

I bought a used Resmed Airsense 10 auto set. I know the previous owner used MyAir app. I tried to register the machine to me and its saying bad serial number or device number. I'm sure the issue is that the machine is still registered to the original owner. He lost weight and stopped using CPAP. How...

Re: New CPAP purchase advise

I got it. It had 2800 hours, no smoke or animal smell. I'm really happy I found one and didnt cost too much.

Does anyone have any ideas of initial settings i should use?

My current cpap is a single pressure ResMed Elite that I had set on 11.

So I'm getting the Resmed Airsense 10.
Make sure it says "AutoSet".
I didn't realize there were some s10's that weren't Autoset. I just checked the picture. It does say Autoset on the front of the machine.

Re: New CPAP purchase advise

I called the craigslist guy and he agreed to $300 cash. So I'm getting the Resmed Airsense 10. It's not a for her model, but it is something that I can afford. He said he didn't use it much. Is there anything I should check while I'm inspecting the unit?

New CPAP purchase advise

So, with the goal of getting the best rest possible I realize that a newer model CPAP with an autoset capability is in the cards. There has probably been a thread about which machine should I buy? So if you want to redirect me there, that's great. I couldn't find one using search. I currently have R...

Re: switching from FFM to Nasal Mask, does it require less pressure?

I have insurance but since I just ordered the nasal mask, I wasn't eligible for another mask yet. However, I called them to see if I could just buy the lining since my old one ripped and the nasal mask wasn't working for me. They told me that they could do a one-time free mask replacement and send a...

Re: switching from FFM to Nasal Mask, does it require less pressure?

thanks for the info on how to adjust pressure and see daily reports on sleep quality. Last night I lowered pressure to 8, did a mask fit for the nasal mask, and tried to sleep but I just found the nasal mask (wisp) to be too uncomfortable. Then I switched to pressure back and wore the FFM which is r...

Re: switching from FFM to Nasal Mask, does it require less pressure?

I don't know how to check the display for anything. I didn't even know you could get a nightly report. All I know how to do is change the pressure and change the humidity level/temp. And regarding changing the humidity level, many nights my reservoir runs dry then the hot metallic smelling air from ...

Re: switching from FFM to Nasal Mask, does it require less pressure?

I was just browsing sources for used equipment. I don't know why the ResMed Elite is so expensive if it has no advanced features. There's a website called sleepapnea.org which will give you a donated unit without a humidifier for a donation to their site of at least $100. That will work, I can affor...

Re: switching from FFM to Nasal Mask, does it require less pressure?

I tried to correct my equipment in my profile but I didnt see ResMed elite or S9 Elite on the list. My insurance won't cover a new machine until next year so I'm out of luck on that front. But I'm going to call them again today to see if I can get a different answer or find out exactly when I'm elig...
