Re: Auto CPAP without a sleep study?

I guess you win. http://www-users.med.cornell.edu/~spon/picu/calc/pressure.htm I really do hope you feel better. It is not a snide remark. You are the first poster I noticed and the one who stands out for the same reason. At first it seemed humorous now what I see is that you are very angry and in n...

Re: Auto CPAP without a sleep study?

If air pressure is 14 psi at sea level how is it we are not being hurt by it when we go to the shore? BTW I did indicate I was not aware of what mode of measurement was used for sleep apnea CPAP. I used an incorrect acronym but I was not wrong and did not provide false information. The industrial ve...

Re: Auto CPAP without a sleep study?

Zoinks don't hold back or anything. A High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) is a filter type and they do use portable CPAP masks in the trades, some people prefer them and some people require them as you have to take a pulmonary function test before you are allowed to use any mask on a job. As far ...

But some nights my mouth still opens and gets dry.
Just before you put your mask on, use a dry mouth gel or Xylimelts.
I'll look into this. Thank You

Re: HELP: Removing smell from the machine itself

I don't know the rules about posting links from other CPAP sites so I have copied this post in a similar thread. It is the OP describingw hat they did to get rid of teh odor. "Well, the humidifier certainly didn't run without any water. I emptied half a cup in the morning. It just wasn't full. Anyway...

Re: Auto CPAP without a sleep study?

If you get one I can share this for whatever it is worth. When I worked in the trades and used supplied air to entire poison atmospheres it was regulation to set the supplied air pressure at 14psi. Apparently it is perfect for breathing and makes it impossible to kink the hose and cut the air off. I...

Re: Ketogenic Diet (Keto) - Ineffective and Dangerous

I get it I am private too. But necessity.... I got really fat after moving where I am now 16 years ago 3 short years before that I did the Death Ride and I weighed 152. A few months later I was injured and my medical care has been destroying my health ever since. There is a lot of feelings and conce...

Re: Breathing through mouth with nasal mask.

How do you know if you start breathing through your mouth while wearing nasal mask? Would the flow rate would just look flat instead of the periodic up / down of inhalation / exhalation ? When my mouth opens, I hear a hiss that wakes me up. I have to wear a chin strap to stop this from happening. I...

Re: Ketogenic Diet (Keto) - Ineffective and Dangerous

Hmmm. I was "diagnosed" with type two after having been on high dose of niacin for over a year. The glucose tolerance test was right at 200 the tipping point for a diag. They put me on metformin to add to the masses of crap they already had me taking. My eyes started getting blurry I started having ...

Re: So Clean review and info

The reseller return process worked for me. I had to do extra work. The package had been received by So Clean on 11-13-18 6 days ago and I had not got my refund as of this morning. So I contacted So Clean to ask if they had informed the reseller of having received the return and then informed the AG ...

Re: SoClean CPAP Cleaner

I checked last Friday and the package had been delivered to SoClean 11-13-18. I checked today and I still had not gotten my refund. I contacted SoClean by phone and confirmed they had the return and informed the reseller. I relayed this info to the AG I filed the complaint with. I just checked paypa...

Re: SoClean CPAP Cleaner

18 days after stopping use of the so clean I am still having pretty heavy production of mucous from my lungs in the morning. I lowered the humidity setting 2 days ago. For the last few days things seem to calm down once I get some coffee in me. I think I am finally healing from whatever damage the r...

Re: Sneezing and blowing nose all day

When I sense the CPAP is causing sneezing or congestion I clean it. It has worked every time so far. An ENT I saw once years ago before CPAP told me to try using a Qtip and sterile ointment like bacitracin to coat the inside of my nasal passages when I was having allergy attacks. It helps. I have ch...
