Re: Cleaning the P30i pillow filter?
Thanks all but that's not where/what I'm trying to do. The front of the hard plastic piece looks like there is a small plastic piece that holds the filter in place. There are tabs that I'm hoping I can pry off. But I'm afraid they will snap, leaving me with a broken piece over the holiday week. If I...

Re: Cleaning the P30i pillow filter?
How do you deal with the whistling sound the p30i makes? I get a little whistling from the top of my head but not as much as my previous mask. I find if I position it so the outgoing air does not hit anything, it makes less noise. I have a 2nd pillow for sitting up that I leave there so I push it b...

Cleaning the P30i pillow filter?
Had anyone managed to pop out the filter in the nasal pillow piece for cleaning? It's hard plastic and i'm afraid it might crack and not go back together well. I notice black dots in it this morning. Don't have a spare at the moment.

I still miss Lotus SmartSuite. I miss it too... much like I miss the flu, and Montezuma's revenge. Yeah. I bet you're one of those OS/2 haters, too, right? :P  Oh, we used to have dual-boot machines that booted into OS/2 or Windows, depending on which software we needed to use. Anybody e...

Re: Sleep study costs and expectations
I'm not an expert, but the leak chart indicates a leak from the minute you start therapy, which I don't think is normal. I just opened my charts and on mine, I see nothing on the chart, then a spike, then nothing, then a spike, etc. Do you sense a leak anywhere? Perhaps that is interfering with the ...

When you pack the unit up for travel, do you remove the tank from the machine? Instructions say to keep them separate.

Re: Sleep study costs and expectations
My room is blacked out. It’s quiet as can be. I work till 10:00 most nights. I don’t anticipate ever going to bed before midnight. I’m not sure going to bed earlier would matter. I’d be fine sleeping 3am-11:00am. It doesn’t matter to me when the 8hrs happen. Do you work every night? If not, what ha...

Re: Sleep study costs and expectations
Last night was another 6hr night with no wake-ups that I can recall. I don’t think I got any REM sleep and I didn’t dream (that I recall). I haven’t looked at the chart. I don’t understand why I’m not sleeping deeper and longer. Sorry to hear that. I would not like to see leaks at the levels you ar...

Re: Which mask???
I had trouble full face mask that didn't leak horribly (I think full face masks were made for a certain schnoz shape). Switched to a pillow mask, which is more neutral on nose shape and facial structure. I liked the Dreamwear but switched recently to Resmed P30i. Whatever you think will work, see i...

Re: Sleep study costs and expectations
Have you tried a pillow mask? If you are moving around when you sleep, possibly you might be knocking the mask around and it might be losing its seal and causing leaks?? I went through similar situation where results were great for first week or two, then I spent five+ weeks of not sleeping through ...

Re: Blocked tear ducts from using nasal pillows?
Your tear ducts may not be blocked -- it might be the opposite -- the air may be coming in from the mask through the ducts and drying out your eyes. My optometrist told me a tear is made of 3 parts -- an oil layer on the outside, water under that, and mucus on the inside. If the oil layer goes away,...

Re: ResMed P30i user review
Now if they had some type of a chin strap with this, the stretch would be a really usable feature. I thought about trying to rig my own chinstrap to the frame....thought I could solve 2 problems at once -- keep Dreamwear frame from slipping up while I sleep and keep mouth closed. But the angle didn...
