Re: anti-histamine pills?
I use Loratadine (Claritin 24 hr) also. Started using it for bone pain during chemo. Keeps me clear through the night.

Re: New ResMed Airsense 10 - "Foamgate"
Thank you for responding Pugsy I've always respected your level headed and courteous answers, however, I have to respectively disagree here, that was clearly ridicule with a bit of correction thrown in...making fun at someone else's expense. But, moving on, the reference to foamgate is that if it ha...

Re: New ResMed Airsense 10 - "Foamgate"
Night # 2. Big improvement. I upped the min psi to 10, lowered the max psi to 18, shortened the ramp up from 10" to 5" and tweaked the mask straps to be equal...very minor. Also went to my Pulmonologist about the recall and she was very aware of the situation and wrote me a letter recommending stopp...

Re: New ResMed Airsense 10 - "Foamgate"
Thanks Zonker. That was my 1st night on the new machine. I'll try going to a min of 10 on the pressure.

New ResMed Airsense 10 - "Foamgate"
I just stopped using My Dreamstation I and bought, out of pocket, a new ResMed Airsense 10. I'm a recent cancer survivor of only a little over two years and I was very uncomfortable with continuing use of my recalled Dreamstation I even though the risks might be small I'm trying to reduce as much ri...

Re: AHI Fluctuation
I did raise pressure to 11.0 last night with no problems. AHI was 3.9 this morning (my monthly average is 3.5). I wake often during the night to adjust my mask cushion but usually after 3am I feel I sleep better. I am in the process of ordering a Amara View set up hoping that it will seal better aro...

Re: AHI Fluctuation
What effect would that have (raising it to say 12.0) if my need doesn't drop to 9.0 anyway?

AHI Fluctuation
I've been doing well since starting CPAP almost one year ago but I still get some fluctuation generally between 2.0 and 6.0 AHI from day to day and I can't figure out why. I've included two OSCAR reports as examples. Also a question about Leak Rate. I see two graph lines that pretty much follow each...

Re: What If No CPAP?
Not at all saying that I would choose not to use it....just wondering what my reactions might be the next day if circumstances (like Pugsy mentioned) prevented me from using it.....broken machine, loss of power, etc. Makes me think about having a backup machine...maybe battery operated. I do have an...

What If No CPAP?
What might I expect for symptoms if I went a night or two without CPAP? I have been religious with using my treatment from day one 4 months ago. Went from 56 AHI (sleep study mostly on my back) down now to averaging below 5 AHI. Lately I've had a night or two where it went up to about 7 AHI and the ...

Re: sleeping and a good mattress
One other thing I've found with mattresses over the many years is that it takes a long time (for me) for my body to adjust properly...weeks even a month or two.
