Re: installing and using sleepyhead

let me repeat makers say both are ASV and both are VPAP the AVAPS may have more pressure or features but IN THE CONTEXT THAT I MADE MY COMMENT THEY ARE ASV as far as the lady's question The Resmed iVAPS algorithm is the equivalent of the PR AVAPS algorithm. The Resmed AirCurve 10 VPAP ASV machine i...

Re: Dreamstation opinions?

Disadvantages: • Some have complained about the brightness of the display when you turn it off and back on, such as for a potty break. I don’t find this a problem. In fact, I use the light to reattach my mask to the hose. There is DreamStation firmware update available at apneaboard that makes the ...

Re: OSA range of symptoms

rainmom177,

Any history of migraines in your family?

Sensitivity to light can be a sign of migraines. And there are people who wind up having migraine auras even without the headache pain.

Re: installing and using sleepyhead

We already did with the ASV vs AVAPS. You're just too arrogant to admit it. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk ==== bullshit i have two vendors that say asv and avaps are equivalent for the ASV function which is what i noted the avaps has more capability you proved nothing except that you cant re...

Re: Interesting call from Philips Resperonics

As far as Medicare not caring about being charged for the name brand product, for the generic, that's possible. I'm still only three years in, on being a Medicare patient. I assume they'd want to know they're being billed for say the Lobster dish, when in fact the dish was just crawdad. Medicare re...

Re: OSA range of symptoms

Anxiety Me personally no. Lots of people on the forum say they have less problems with anxiety after starting CPAP Overwhelming fatigue Big symptom of untreated OSA. Most people report feeling less fatigued. Many people find the fatigue totally disappears. But fatigue can be caused by other medical...

Re: Newbie and have some questions :)

This is weird.... last night slept 5 hours, got up and then went back to bed and took a nap for 3 hours. When I went to write down my data, it only showed my usage hours 0.14. Should I notify the hmo that rented me the device that there may be something wrong with the device? Debbie Bet you slept p...

Re: AHI has doubled

Interesting, Pugsy. Sounds like a better machine for me. As I mentioned, they upped the pressure by 1 late yesterday in an attempt to lower my AHI. They eliminated(or forgot to add)the ramp up so I began tonight without it. Hard to adjust to adjust but I did. Go into the settings and set the ramp u...

Re: Very discouraged newbie

Robysue, you asked about the leaks. When it starts leaking, it can come from anywhere-top, bottom, either side. I try adjusting it on my face, but then even moving my head a fraction makes it leak again. So I turn off the machine, pull the mask away from my face, let it drop back on to my face, and...

Re: Very discouraged newbie

Edited to correct an extremely embarrassing typo. Not sure how to tell how high the pressure has gone. It's says 6.1 for 90% pressure for last night. Does that mean for 90% of the night the average was 6.1? That means that your pressure was AT or BELOW 6.1cm for 90% of the night. It also means that ...

Re: Very discouraged newbie

I know lots of people have these problems. Got diagnosed with moderately severe sleep apnea late June 2017. Started CPAP on July 25, 2017. So it's only been 4 nights of use, but I am absolutely miserable. I wasn't sleeping well before cpap (obviously), but cpap is making me more tired than ever. I ...

http://imgur.com/a/Z1AsV Not a great night of sleep but also not a great night to study the data too much. I had leak issues - I had problems for some reason getting comfortable last night (before trying to sleep), especially with the headgear and I should have taken a bit more time to secure the m...

A big +1 for everything that Pugsy just said. Reread and make sure you understand what she's written about the model numbers.
