Re: how do i post an image??

Hi - I'm the second poster here, "tmm", and now that I have a little more time, I did that Google Advanced search myself and came up with a link. Since I'm too low tech to even cut-and-paste, , I will hand type the link here: http://zzzcf2.cpaptalk.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=50300&st=0&sk=t&sd=a After ...

Re: National Library of Med.'s presentation on Sleep Disorders

Kiralynx, I too am stunned by cpapping coworkers who don't know or care their machine, mask, and pressure, let alone leak and AHI. Incidentally, I was so impressed by your expression "fate forfend" that I did a Google search on it, in quotes. With or without the hyphen, it appears on the internet on...

Re: O/T Help/votes needed in a Baking Challenge

I just voted at 1AM Saturday, but it said "Contest Closed." Darn. Maybe that was just me, so don't let that discourage others from voting. Good luck.

Sleep efficiency definition

Hi wulfman,
The definition of sleep efficiency is in error. It involves division, not multiplication.

Re: OT: What do you do for a living?

Sign language interpreter in a middle school, and weekend night auditor for a classy new Hampton Inn. Just trained and licensed for a third job as taxi driver but don't think I'll follow through with that, unless maybe next summer. The first two jobs involve flipping from first shift to third shift ...

Re: Bound Away

The title of your original post, "Bound Away", had me picturing you bounding over the hedges like a kangaroo. Must be all the energy the bipap auto sv gives you. Your time in Milwaukee reminds me I was just reading about the cryptosporidium outbreak they had in 1993, in which 403,000 people became i...

Google homepage art Mon 12/22/08

Today's theme art seems to be a kindly grandfather assembling a toy. The toy looks to me like a cpap with hose. OK, I know, I've got too much time on my hands.

Re: Where a newbie should start

This is great. The definition of sleep efficiency seems odd. I think where it says "multiplied by" it should say "divided by", and then at the end add the words, "expressed as a percent."

Re: Disposing of an old cpap machine

If it's *really* old and *really* off-brand, maybe there's a cpap museum. Insomnyak would know.

Speaking of old, I remember when Alaska got statehood and we had to get a 49-star flag. Sarah Palin wasn't even born then. Darn, she makes me feel old. Maybe I should go into that museum.

Re: Visitor from Switzerland needs Silverlining 3.6 for PB425ST

Using a much larger font does not resolve the ambiguity and is kind of hurtful, but as they say no good deed goes unpunished. I am just trying to help the guy, you don't need to shout at me.

So how does he get the data, are there LCD displays or should he just buy a different brand of ST?

Re: Visitor from Switzerland needs Silverlining 3.6 for PB425ST

OK, that's no doubt the answer. He knows of that URL and included it in his chat, though not singling out that one sentence you quoted. Sorry to be so stupid myself, but what does it mean "when downloading"? I would take it to mean you can't read data during the downloading process but can when it's...

Visitor from Switzerland needs Silverlining 3.6 for PB425ST

We just had a visitor in chat who lives in Switzerland. He writes great English but his preferred language is German. He ordered Silverlining 3.6 from cpap.com but they sent 3.1 and when he contacted them, got an unhelpful reply (but he is not unhappy with them, just *really* wants that software so ...
