Re: S9 Autoset usage not resetting; shows 24-hours, high AHI

I have a 99 year scrip, so that shouldn't be a problem. I have new insurance since my diagnosis and machine purchase, but they've been paying for supplies without complaint. A new machine would also be covered after deductible, which I expect to exceeed anyway with upcoming surgery. For online comp...

That is why I put my info in my signature. That sticks around though you can't see it with Tapatalk which I use a lot.

Re: OT: Jeff Sessions confirmed in Senate Judiciary committee

WHY ALL THE POLITICAL POSTS ON THE FORUM? Have you nothing better to do with your time? This is a CPAP support forum not a political push your crap forum. There are lots of places to put this stuff that should be put elsewhere. Don't really care to see any side of the topic. Wrong place. You are no...

Re: DreamMapper software info question

I use one, have for years. I normally check when I shut up on the edge of the bed before getting started for the day. Sometimes in the middle of the night if I get then as well. Did it from my phone and never have to touch the CPAP or computer to do it. Use realVNC to connect to my workstation in th...

Re: Freedom vs Medi-Pilot-24-2 Battery Packs

You are not going to find a light weight battery back for an S9 CPAP machine that will run with the humidifier for any length of period of time. They just don't have enough capacity for the humidifier requirements. That includes using a heated hose. If you do a search you will find a ton of threads ...

Re: How many CPAP or BIPAP Users are out there?

Not sure I understand the point of the question. If you have OSA and have been told you should use CPAP then.... why wouldn't you? What difference does it matter how many others use it, in what countries, men or women?? Seriously. Its like asking how many people wear seat belts before deciding if yo...

$300 buys a lot of distilled water which doesn't get you slime and stale smell.

Re: Day Surgery & CPAP

That is something to ask the anaesthesiologist. Mine was very easy to talk to about my concerns etc when I had a recent procedure that was with an overnight stay. I talked with the him before the procedure and he said I would be very lightly under using propofol, just enough to prevent me from movin...

Re: Resmed F20 - must be popular!

Krevlin. If you are looking at the mask placement on the manikin, it's misleading. The fit guide shows the bottom edge above the chin. That is exactly what I was doing. They are not quite at the same angle but those look like the F20 is much lower on the chin or even under it. I didn't see the PDF ...

Re: Resmed F20 - must be popular!

Never really looked at the F10 though it uses the same cushion as the Quattro Air which is what I have been using for a couple years now.

Looks like the F20 cushion goes under the chin, so a different cushion.

The Quatro Air has been so successful I'm not sure I would want to even try a new mask.

Re: I'm new, and am worried if I am re-infecting...

Does anybody have suspicion they re-infect themselves with the machines? No, you don't get the same virus twice unless you have no or a very low immune system. If you have an immune system issue that is something your doctor would need to look at. You can pickup variants of a virus you have not bee...

Re: Why humidity with CPAP? (article)

From a cpap point of view a lot has changed since then. Back then it was quite common for someone to have a cpap with no humidifier, now days we have many where the cpap comes with a built in humidifier and quite common for users to easily get a humidifier as an option. Also you are talking about a ...

Re: Why humidity with CPAP? (article)

Didn't look at the article... Humidity is a comfort setting that greatly depends on the environment and person. Many don't use a humidifier on their cpap, many use it only in bypass mode (water in tank but no heat turned on) and many use it at all different levels with and without a heated hose. Dep...

Mine tends to be slow and shallow most of the time when I am actually sleeping.
