Re: Sleeping pills

I believe that the previous posters may have missed your point; sleeping pills are NOT a solution to SA. They may not interfere, but if you have SA without them, you will have SA with them. You may think that you are asleep, but a person with SA will be waking up to some degree or another all night....

Re: Using OSCAR with 2nd CPAP

Maybe not fully apples and oranges, but I have 4 identical Autosense Machines and I switch between them all occasionally. OSCAR, and Sleepyhead, have no problems with me switching devices with full data results being shown.

Re: STICKY....Having trouble getting in this site

I have not been able to access this site for several days until just now. I upgraded to the latest version of Chrome (V. 88.0.4324.150) which is an emergency release due to known hacking issues. Upgrade to this newest version today! I was using 150 earlier this afternoon and unable to get to this f...

Re: Fingers crossed Vitamin D is my fix!

Anyone that is taking vitamin D remember that it is a fat soluble vitamin so take it with food that has fat in it. A "Vitnamin D fortified" food that is "non-fat" is an oxymoron. Taking vitamin K2-mk7 is also a great idea, but I for some reason have had problems with it and I have tried a multitude ...

Re: Fingers crossed Vitamin D is my fix!

Now Dr.Jonny Bowden's newletter: "Hi everybody, Don't be fooled. "Dr." Bowden is not an M.D. I automatically skip over every writing that is presented in bold and underlined. Legitimate MDs don't write like this. Fraudsters sometimes do. BTW, I take 4000 IU vitamin D3 daily and have encouraged ever...

Re: Fingers crossed Vitamin D is my fix!

Down below is a copy of a newsletter that Dr. Jonny Bowden, Pd.D published last week with the correct information about vitamin D. Just incase that you do not know of Dr. Bowden he has written many books on nutrition and health including the best seller that he co-wrote with Stephen Sinatra, M.D., b...

Report on Lunderg CPAP Pillow

FYI - - The OP's product is on Amazon today (10/13) for $60 (and the manufacturer's site is alive today also). Looks good to me. I like the adjustable height capability; the CPAP pillow I use now does not and I told my wife just a couple days ago that it is not thick enough for me as a side sleeper...

Re: How Often Do You All Look at Your OSCAR Stats?

Apparently, I check my data on OSCAR more often than most. I load the data onto my computer/OSCAR around every 5-7 days for two primary reasons. 1) Backup, once the data is on the computer l could then care less about losing old SD card data. All data files are automatically saved to two computers, ...

Re: Shingles!!! Get vaccinated before it is too late!

Last time I checked about 3 years ago a vaccine (no idea which one) would cost me $100 and was not covered by Medicare. Anybody had one recently and know if the cost or coverage has changed? If it was three years ago, then you got the old version which not considered effective. The new one is known...

Re: Storing a Resmed airsense10, Autoset for a back up unit.

I have three identical APAP machines (long story why I have three not including a brick CPAP) and one is specifically for emergency backup. Naturally, it is stored in a standard ResMed travel case, but it also includes a new P10 mask with an addition pillow, and the complete standard power accessori...

Re: Cpap hose Management..

I use an IV pole which is very handy as it is on wheels so I move it, and the connected hose, from one side of my nightstand to the other each evening and morning. Not everyone has an IV pole just standing around though.....

Re: Seasonal Humidity and Heat settings

I live near Houston so we have similar climates; hot and humid. My humidity setting for about 8 months of the year is "off". Actually, I remove the humidifier and replace it with ResMed`s bypass module. No need for any additional moisture (and the heat needed to create it) for us deep southerners.

Re: Power strip on or off during day?

"chunkyfrog" is correct. Power strips with surge protectors are of little use and when I used to design multi-million dollar communications systems, they were forbidden. Power protection for whole communication sites costs several thousand dollars and are not available for public use (the technology...
