PR System One Auto - problems

I have a PR System One Auto (model 560) that has been my daily-driver since April 2010. I rarely check the data on it but today, I did, using sleepyhead 0.93. What I found was that the machine has collected no data in the last two months and over the last 18 months has several periods of between 1 a...

Re: Changes To CPAPtalk Operating and Moderation Practices

I've been a member on this board for almost a decade. Lately I've tended to drift in and out of it on an ever-decreasing frequency. In part, this is because of deterioration in the quality of the board. Thank you Johnny Goodman for taking a step towards rescuing what for me and countless others is a...

Re: This Article Contradicts Most Sleep Apnea Studies

Food for thought:

Why Most Published Research Findings Are False

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1182327/

And another:

Studies show only 10% of published science articles are reproducible. What is happening?

Re: Purchasing a CPAP/APAP

Thanks for the replies everyone! I'm just currently waiting on being confirmed by and admin and I'll be registered! (This is OP, won't let me post with the same username right now) Firstly, sorry about the confusion about OHIP and stuff, completely didn't even think about non-Ontario members! I wen...

Re: Purchasing a CPAP/APAP

It seem that my price was really close. The price in this link is CAD$1020, which equates to USD$755. This conversion is based on the live rate at the time I posted this message. Whenever you have a question about OHIP and ADP, it's always necessary to look it up. They change things fairly often so...

Re: Purchasing a CPAP/APAP

Hey everyone, I got back from my first consultation yesterday with my Dr. I was told my AHI was 48 on my side and 105 on my back. I go back on Monday night for a titration study. It seems that I may actually end up with an APAP over a CPAP just from my AHI but won't know until next week. Now, here ...

Re: Traveling to Cuba

I traveled to Cuba in 2007. That was before I started cpap so I have no experience with a cpap there. My suggestion is that you follow Pale Rider's advice. But I'd also recommend you take an extension cord with you - it's always a good idea to do so (you never know how far those outlets will be from...

Re: Need some advice on something I read, and a product...

I think there's another approach to your problem. You wrote that you're "... tired of my CPAP machine taking up so much room in my suitcase ...". There's a simple solution to that. DON'T PUT YOUR CPAP IN YOUR SUITCASE!. You should NEVER put a cpap in checked-luggage. Also, for travel on most airline...

Re: Runny Nose and Sneezing

I've been using a cpap for a month. After using it for three days, I started having a constant runny nose and sneezing. I've tried nasal sprays and saline solutions plus Zertec. Nothing even slows down the runny nose. Does anyone have any remedies to combat this problem? You can slow down the runny...

I really wish CPAP.com would lock these old threads to prevent new replies. There's no need for threads to be unlocked if they haven't had a response posted for several months.

Re: VitalAire

I'm currently working with Vitalaire and getting ready to purchase my first machine. I have been trying a Resmed auto 10 and would like to stay with that model. VitalAire wants $2300CAN, online it is available for $1000CAN. I can understand a certain markup, but this seems excessive. My insurance w...

Re: VitalAire

Vitalaire set me up originally and they were very good about it, they're across the country and I know others who use them with no problems... plus the OP seems to be gone, so...? As I suspect is the case in most DME's, quality of service likely depends more on the individuals in the DME rather tha...
