Re: Kbh209's CPAP questions and updates
Okay something strange I've encountered. I went to my sleep specialist because it felt like I wasn't getting good sleep with my DS2. So he raised the air from 10.0 to 11.0. This was on September 8th. On September 16th, I had went up in the foothills here in California for a retreat. When I got up to...

Re: Phillips / Philips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread
I recently had a physical visit with my sleep specialist. The clinic is still using the old recalled titration devices for sleep apnea diagnosing. I'm curious if Philips will ever make new devices for the sleep clinics?

Re: Phillips / Philips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread
I just highly doubt that the Respironics division of Philips will ever shut down. I suspect there's too many independently owned and operated DMEs that don't know any better and exclusively only sell Philips Respironics CPAP machines to consumers in this case, the DreamStation 2s, even after the rec...

Re: You guys/gals might want to read this especially if DreamStation 2 user
Based off of my previous experience with the DS1. The bottom of the humidifier of the DS1, the foam particles were grey. The bottom of the humidifier of the DS2, the foam particles are white. Also the same experience of feeling foam enter my airway in both machines are similar. I'd like to think tha...

For context, this is what the foam particles will look like on the bottom of the DS2 humidifier tub.

Re: Kbh209's CPAP questions and updates
Hello CPAP Talk peeps. I thought I'd give you a heads up of what I've been up to. I've been upgraded to the Resmed f30i mask and it's been comfortable, but took a while to get used to. In the past month I have been woken up by the irritating (slight burning feeling) of foam entering my airway from ...

Re: Kbh209's CPAP questions and updates
I ended up giving my Resmed Autoset 10 (that was gifted to me) to a friend who was in need of an APAP machine, because Kaiser Permanente told her that CPAP machines are not covered by insurance. The replacement Dreamstation 2 that the DME provider gave me about two weeks prior, has an Autoset functi...

Re: Philips Respironics Recall V2.0 Questions and Answers
I'm not sure how much truth there is to LankyLeft and CPAPReviews about possibly of the recall of the DreamStation 2, but it's concerning. The theory from LankyLeft, that the device sold outside of the USA that gave off VOCs was the DreamStation 2. However there's no confirmation of this per the FDA...

Re: Philips Respironics Recall V2.0 Questions and Answers
I got a call from the founder and manager of the local Durable Medical Equipment provider on Saturday. I pick up my DS2 tomorrow at 11 am at his office. I have to exchange for the recalled DS1. I'm wondering though what I should do with the old PR System 250 machine though.

Re: Philips Respironics Recall V2.0 Questions and Answers
It is quite the limbo to be in for a machine we depend on. If your planning to replace your machine on your own then this is probably not relevant to you. Agreed and I'm in that limbo. Even if I replace it on my own (either out of pocket or via insurance which should cover a replacement at this poi...

Re: Philips Respironics Recall V2.0 Questions and Answers
@aretino: some have received emails from FedEx giving the heads up, and some have received a surprise package when they got home. @Speechless1: I reached out to the recall customer service line just now to update my address. After updating the address I asked why people in July are getting their rep...
