Re: End Of Rope...New Sleep Study??

And from last night. I did take naproxen, 2x220 mg and 1x 500 mg Tylenol, more of an experiment since I really didn't have any perceivable pain . If you are not having pain why are you taking pain meds? My kidney doctor would have a cow. NSAID's are off the table even if I have pain. If you are not...

Re: The Absurdity of Shopping for CPAP Equipment

And yet there is nowhere a person can go to examine the dozens of different mask models -- pick them up, look at them, listen to them, try them on. Same thing with the machines themselves -- no showroom where you can look them over, listen to them, have an expert point out different features, and t...

Re: KISS - Keep it simple stupid

You need to find what works for YOU. There are no single solutions. There are things you can try but what works for you can be very different. For me... Full mask user, never used nasal or pillows. Sleep on my stomach most of the time. No collars though I do sleep with headphones most nights, noise ...

Re: WOW...Now Amazon

I buy a lot of things on Amazon on a very regular basis I have never, never gotten a fake product from them. Of course I never use third-party sellers, used products and depending on the cost I spend a lot of time understanding the product I am buying before doing so. Most of them Amazon fulfilled a...

Re: New stuff....

maybe instructions if someone else has to set it up i would expect a hospital would know how or you would still able to diy Hospital staff won't touch it. They don't know the equipment. Even the respiratory group. Instead they will bring in a huge Phillips unit (bigger than a large microwave) which...

Fabric strip and stopping leaks while on recliner

Over the past 45 days or so, I have been sleeping in a recliner instead of a bed due to a medical condition and it has wreaked havoc on my otherwise normally good sleep. In a bed, I sleep on my stomach as far back as I can remember and with the mask it rests on the mattress near my hand. If I get a ...

New stuff....

While I have been using CPAP now for more than 11 years, I find that I learn new stuff from time to time. With recent trips to Hotel California (hospital), I found that I preferred to have my regular S9 machine rather than my much older standby. It is smaller, easy to package and I am more used to i...

Re: Using S9 with slimline hose and without humidifier

I just get standard 10ft hose from CPAP.COM as I don't use a heated hose with mine.

Over time, the end which I connect to the mask gets loose and I just switch the hose around.

CPAP in the hospital, can't do without

So I just spent two stints of 6 days each in the hospital over the last several weeks. CPAP made it a lot of easier than it would have been. For starters, I don't sleep on my back at all when at home, not even for a short period of time, in the hospital most of the time. Also, there is a lot of wait...

Re: Just Curious: Do any long term CPAP users like the ramp?

The consensus is that most long-term users don't like the ramp and have it disabled. However, there also seems to be a minority who does still like the ramp feature. DH you might be on to something. Possible range of topics: How to define long-term users. 1 year, 5 year, 10 year or more Use a CPAP ...
