Swift II Question

I have been using Swift LT for a week now, and find that I have to tighten the straps until the neck between each pillow and the chamber beneath them collapses and the base of each pillow touches the chamber. (I checked this in a mirror.) Otherwise I have leaks, especially when i move. Is this norma...

Re: Quick Question about IntelliPAP Smartlink

You don't need to buy an APAP to get full data capability.

Many of the higher-end CPAPs have the same data capability as their big-brother APAP.

Just remember that a data card slot does not ensure full data capability. Some machines just record compliance data. So read up.

For the record, Saturn is being purchased by The Penske Group, which is not foreign.

And the former Saturn assembly plant in Spring Hill, TN now makes the Chevy Traverse SUV, and was not included in the sale.

Re: MIRAGE SWIFT LT QUALITY POLL--RESMED'S REPLY 6/16/09

To be honest, the response from ResMed that you posted on June 13 sounded like just so much public relations hot air. The conference call tells a different story. ResMed has examined the situation, found a problem, and has implemented a solution. And they are sending you some of the new production. ...

Re: Quick Question about IntelliPAP Smartlink

cpap-supply.com still has ResScan 3.7 listed on their site. It may only be while their supply lasts, so call first, if you are set on ResMed.

The ResMed video (in one of the above-mentioned links) explains OSA and CPAP very well.

Re: New to Forums and CPAP

I have found that I can adjust the position of the pillows chamber a bit by using the hose clip that you can install on the top of the headgear. Adjusting the length of hose between the clip and the pillows can move the pillows in or out just a bit. (In my case I was able to decrease pressure on my ...

Re: How to interpret Resmed auto Set II/w EPR data

Ladyug --

Have you set the EPR on?

I just started using the AutoSet II (it's my first machine) and find that the EasyBreathe built into AutoSet was so comfortable that I have'nt enabled EPR.

I was wondering what others found.

Re: Here is how to measure your exact intentional leak rate SLPM

Does anyone know which machines automatically subtract intentional mask leak from the reported leak number and which do not?

I'm guessing my machine adjusts the leak because it has settings for various masks. But I am not sure. The wording in the Clinician's Manual is a bit vague, of course.

Re: Need feedback on my encore report

I'm a newbie and certainly not an expert, but with an AHI below 1, and an acceptable leak rate, I'd say you're doing very, very well.

Re: ResScan Software Unavailable

I'm lucky to be keeping my 5-year-old Dell laptop alive on life support. (Cheap used parts via eBay.) It's not going to Vista (yikes!) or Win7.

It's good to know that there are options to keep ResScan 3.7 running into the future. I'll keep them in mind when I look for a new machine.

ResScan Software Unavailable

According to cpap.com, ResMed has changed their policy and will no longer allow their software to be sold to end users (at least in the U.S.). I just purchased an S8 AutoSet II (with the card reader and software) but am now concerned about the future. What is the likelihood that the current version ...

Re: ResMed VPAP Auto 25 Clinician's manual

Jeff, If I understand you correctly, then I can visualize the Respironics dancers connected by a rope (which only limits how far apart they can get) and the ResMed dancers connected by a stick (which keeps them a fixed distance apart). And if that stick is the width of the dance floor, it keeps the ...
