Re: Drooling mouth breathing

Going to look into the absorbant stuff and trying to keep mouth shut. My main problem is drool on pillow because it creates like a small pool that is annoying to lay on. I may have to try a pillow that absorbs liquid better.

Drooling mouth breathing

Ever since I started mouth breathing, I started drooling a lot. It made me uncomfortable at night because it would make my face cold whenever I would touch it. I recently started adjusting to a face mask. How do people deal with drool inside the mask? Does drooling stop with face masks?

Re: Exercise and sleep apnea.

I have the same issue with exercise. I tend to mouth breathe more. I drool significantly more on my pillows and sleep worse. It may have to do with the way exercise changes the way you normally sleep. Exercising tends to make you sleep deeper and might cause your muscles to relax even more

Re: Acting Weird In My Sleep

You can maybe invest in a night vision camera or one that works in low light and maybe just have a small light on while you sleep. They have some available on amazon but I do not know which ones are good. People review the products there so it may be wise to read some reviews before making your deci...

Re: Antidepressants and anxiety pills effects

Is that some new kind of therapy? I don't believe in nonsense new therapies. Optimize emotional stress in your life This is just age old, plain common sense. If you have too much emotional stress hitting you at once, it can affect your ability to sleep well. Do things to remove some of the stress. ...

Re: Antidepressants and anxiety pills effects

I have taken antidepressant drugs and anti-anxiety meds since long before starting CPAP treatment. On my first CPAP machine, data showed my AHI went from an untreated level of 49 to below 1, so I don't think the meds interfered with OSA treatment all. My current CPAP has been showing AHIs below 2 m...

Re: Antidepressants and anxiety pills effects

antidepressants or anxiety pills How is your CPAP therapy? Highly effective or not? AHI? Leak level? As for my PCP I only saw her a few times, one where I needed meds for thyroid and help for hemorrhoids. She never really examined me through a psychological assessment. I have never even been assess...

Re: Antidepressants and anxiety pills effects

And there are groups all over (many online) who can help with the social stuff, AS in general, and I'm surprised your MD hasn't suggested you look into joining some. My sleep doctor suggested I see a Psychologist but I ignored her. I broke down in her exam room because of a feeling of hopelessness ...

Re: Antidepressants and anxiety pills effects

I understand you're taking AD's, especially as ADD is often present in AS, but I think the particular type of meds is more important to get info on... and I'm sure you Google that, though it won't tell you much about them re having OSA. I imagine anything that keeps you awake, alert, unnaturally wo...

Re: Antidepressants and anxiety pills effects

Hey, I may soon be diagnosed to Aspegers Syndrome and would need to take antidepressants. I have read somewhere that antidepressants or anxiety pills may worsen the effect of sleep apnea. Can this be countered by a higher pressure? I am perplexed, why would being diagnosed with AS require that you ...

Re: How do Medical Suppliers work

Thank you for the information. I hope not to run into any DME problems. It seems like there are many not so good DME so I have to keep searching until I find one that is somewhat good
