Re: RESMED AIR 10 water leak
If you can on occassion use the AS10 without humidification, I recommend buying the optional side cover...should be $20 or so. A second water chamber doesn't hurt either.

Re: Cheap sleep study using cpap?
Two night take home sleep test is too expensive? There is a checklist for OSA....if you have enough factors for possible OSA, your family doc should be able to refer one to a sleep clinic. That is what happens here in Alberta, Canada. After a two night home sleep test were reviewed by a sleep doc at...

Re: Pressure Sore and Moleskin: What next?
I was an occupational therapist in a past life, and we used to make splints for people's hands out of thermoplastic materials. One of the first lessons you learn in splint making is that padding pressure just increases the pressure. So that's why I'm not a big fan of adding padding or moleskin to p...

Clear frame. Both frames caused pressure sores....fabric model was more frequent.chunkyfrog wrote: ↑Wed Sep 26, 2018 12:14 pmWhat kind of front frame is on your Wisp?
The reversible fabric frame let the cushion press too hard on/around my nose,
while the silicone frame held it up off my face just enough to be comfortable.

Re: ResMed Airsense 10 Autoset for HER worth it?
It is my understanding that the for her mode is good for pressures less than 12 cm H2O. I have both the standard and for her units. I haven't tested the for her mode enough yet (only a day or two...indifferent so far)...my pressure range is 10-15. Your understanding is incorrect. I see pressures of...

Pressure Sore and Moleskin: What next?
I have a love-hate relationship with my Wisp nasal mask. It sometimes causes a pressure sore on the bridge of my nose. It may depend on how tight the straps are at times. If they are too loose, I have a high leak rate. If they are too tight, it seems that I get a pressure sore on the bridge of my no...

Re: Travel machines
I just got done traveling this week with my Resmed Airsense 10 autoset. Been a new cpap user. (Actually first post here) I have relatively minor issues with traveling with this machine. But would love something smaller so I can pack it in my backpack that i travel with. Even if i have to put the po...

Re: Battery back up?
I am using a Medistrom Pilot Plus 24 with my Resmed Airsense 10 autoset. This setup rides out any power outages from several minutes to quite a few hours. I get extended backup coverage with the addition of the Co-Pilot 24. The Medistrom is a Lithium battery that is always located between the power ...

Re: Backup machines
For those who cannot sleep without a CPAP machine, I strongly recommend having your backup unit ready to go in an emergency. I have my backup near my front door at all times.
Recently, I spent a night at a hospital without my CPAP and I couldn't sleep a wink that night.

Not sure if it's recommended, but I have my CPAP unit hooked to a Medistrom battery backup and a Belkin power surge protector too.

Re: Purchasing a device from SecondwindCPAP
Check also with some Canadian online dealers like Cpapoutlet MonsterCPAP and Cpapmachines. Prices at these places are typically much cheaper than local DMEs. Check with your insurer if they would accept Secondwindcpap and/or these online dealers. A couple months ago, I bought a new APAP backup unit ...

Lewk07,
My PM to you has been stuck in the outbox.
Papsmart and Cpapmachines are the two that I am aware of here in Canada. No experience with Papsmart. Good past experience with Cpapmachines.
