Re: CMS 50E reports. Any problem with these?

The default settings for a Pulse Rate even are very sensitive. Changing them to a change of 15 bpm over 30 seconds will eliminate a lot of the "noise."

Overall your saturation looks good. The big question is how do you feel in the morning?

What a great place to move to.

After you get settled check out Janicki Industries. You may get a tour and a glimpse of new developments.

Re: Arms/hands go numb, SpO2 drops, heart races

Got it...

Heart rates bounce around a lot. It has a lot to do with nerve paths and responses. When you are sleeping you may not remember a noise or other external signal that suddenly stimulates your heart to beat faster. It also can come from dropping into a dream.

Re: Arms/hands go numb, SpO2 drops, heart races

Your O2 drop on 8/6 looks like you rolled over in bed.

The 8/5 data shows the expected results. O2 drops, then pulse rate increases.

Re: Hacking the Swift FX short tube

It is more comfortable to manipulate the smaller short hose than the full sized hose. In addition the stiffness of the short hose is much smaller than the main hose. This means that if you roll over, there is a great reduction in the possibility of pulling your mask off of your face if you have the ...

Re: Dreamstation Humidifier Cleaning?

The big difference between these tests is the flow rate. The 2007 test was done at a flow rate of 60 liters per minute for 90 minutes. The test done in 2005 was done at 31 - 46 liters per minute for an undisclosed period of time. The test that showed an aerosol is formed is at a flow rate roughly 30...

Re: Arghhh!!!! Brevida problem- am I alone?

When I first started I crushed many Swift FX small hoses... hence my username. :) I figured out a work around and finally was able to enjoy the Swift FX. When I switched to the Brevida I incorporated some of those ideas and have not had any issues with the Brevida small hose. The idea is to limit th...

Re: Found a vitamin that has DRASTICALLY reduced my Central Sleep Apnea

Take a look at the information from Dr. Gominak. She has an interesting perspective on the various B vitamins. I will add that I don't believe most people suffer sleep apnea from a lack of B vitamins. It can play a part but I know a lot of people that have sleep apnea that have normal blood glucose ...

Re: Need to replace 10yo CPAP

If it were me... I would replace the machine with one that is fully data compatible, download the software, and evaluate what is going on during your sleep. You can get a lot of helpful suggestions on how to optimize your sleep from reviewing your data. If you still feel like crap after that, consid...

When I hear heart fluctuations, I wonder about mineral balances.

When I hear blood clots, I wonder about dehydration.

Re: Heart Rate fluctuations and spikes during sleep

Yes.

Fluctuations in heart rate are expected. There are many causes.

IF...

If there is O2 desaturation prior to heart rate spikes, then further investigation is needed.

As you approach death the heart rate spikes go away.
