Re: software for REMstar Auto A-Flex?
Thanks, Pugsy, I think had it all right except for the "no waveform" part. I appreciate the cogent and helpful response. Sounds like my best bet is to get the "EncoreViewer 2.0 Software with USB Smart Card Reader for M Series and Legacy REMStar Machines" package. I'd sort of like to get a later mode...

Re: Do anyof you ever read "official" OSA literature?
WHAT!!!! Are you suggesting that there is information on the internet that is incorrect? Shame! Shame! Don't have a lot of "faith" on what you read on any internet site, including this one. Even if the Mayo Clinic or AMA site actually is THE best source of info on a subject, don't have "faith." Read...

Re: Madalot is Very Bad
Never forget when dealing with medical "professionals": 1) You are the customer, they are selling services and goods to you. 2) The medical system is a cartel. They control access to a lot of items you may need. They are very determined to protect their monopoly. 3) If you do the wrong thing against...

Re: software for REMstar Auto A-Flex?
OK, I've read a lot on this subject, but am not real confident that I've got it straight. Confirmation from the experts would be appreciated. I've got a Remstar Auto M series with CFLEX. And a NON-M Remstar Auto with CFLEX. Windows Vista 32 bit computer(s). I think what I need is Encore Viewer 2.0 p...

Re: still restless!..found mold growing in water
Be sure the air filters are in place properly. If air is going around the filters, you'd get dust and whatever else is in the air into the water and it might encourage mold growth.

Re: REMstar M series HELP!!!!!
Wrap it in cloth, then put it in a plastic bag with uncooked rice. That will help it dry out.
Whether the unit will work after being dried out is another question.
Sleeping on your stomach or side might help.

Re: Allergic reaction to mask!! OUCH!!! HELP!
Consider the possibility that you're allergic to something other than the mask. Are you allergic to something you use in the cleaning process? Cleaners, paper towels, laundry detergent used to wash a cloth you use, cloths. Is it possible the mask touches something else when you store it or sit it do...

Re: Survival Techniques when you can't use CPAP
I wonder if there's any way to get a "whole head" CPAP "mask?" i.e. covers the ears as well as the mouth and nose. Or pressurized "headphones" connected to your CPAP mask. Seems like the physics would work in terms of the ear problem. I'd be a bit afraid to "roll your own." Sounds like a good way to...
