Re: S9 AutoSet vs S9 AutoSet for Her?

I don't care about the colour either but wonder what the EPR settings are compared to the S9.

I also wonder if the max setting of 12cm/H2O for OAs is enough? At the current price the S9 Autoset for her is an absolute steal and I am now in a position to take advantage of it.

Re: DreamWear mask

I've got the Dreamwear and love the hose at the top of my head. I also had to tighten up the velcro straps at the back of the head but this fits well now and doesn't ride up during the night. I read on another thread about how 'as loose as possible' is the best way to wear your masks. I move the sil...

Re: Big Variances in AHI

OK, I bought and used a soft cervical collar for the first time last night. The results are very promising. For a good part of the night I was below 5.0 but somehow, once again the OAs and Hs kicked in right at the end. But an overall AHI of 8.12 for a full nights sleep is a new benchmark. Great not...

Re: Neck brace: a tip for chin tucking and mouth breathing

A timely post for me as I worked out that my clusters of OAs and hypopneas were probably caused by exactly what you were talking about, chin tucking. I bought a soft cervical collarand will use it for the first time tonight, without the chinstrap. I see the collar as doing the same job as the chinst...

Re: Big Variances in AHI

OK, it's been 7 days and time to report back on progress. Recommendation from most here was to set pressure APAP 10-14 cms. My AHIs have gone up into the low teens and one or two at 20. I have woken up feeling starved for air some nights and this is getting more frequent. It s a horrible feeling and...

Wouldn't mouth breathing show up as large leaks on your nightly data?

Re: CPAP and Carry On Travel

I've just travelled between Australia and New Zealand with no problems. As I use a hard shell suitcase I simply packed my machine into this suitcase and secured it to stop it moving around. I'm flying to Perth (Aus) next month and will do the same. I carry the prescription with me to make sure that ...

Re: Big Variances in AHI

Being awake can cause faulty readings, but REM can also be the worst time for apneas. I know in my case the first part of the night is not too bad, then the AHI tends to rise in waves that correspond to the deeper sleep part of the cycle later in the night. I also get excellent readings when I nap,...

Re: Big Variances in AHI

Thank you for all the replies so far, very interesting and have given me plenty to think about. My diagnosed AHI was 57 My best results so far have come from the 10-18 settings. Yes I did turn Sensawake off when I switched to APAP as it doesn't seem to be needed for automatic pressure. I also have d...

Big Variances in AHI

Hello Everyone Diagnosed in December last year it's only this month that I've got use to wearing all the gear which includes the Dreamwear mask and a chinstrap. I started off on a fixed pressure of 13 from the titration test. This gave me AHIs in the 20s ansd 30s so at the advice from another forum ...

Re: TMJD Splint / CPAP Nasal Appliance Combo

Is there a PRESCRIPTION TMJD splint that will support some form of CPAP nasal air delivery system (pillow, nose cup, etc.)? For example, the mouth splint would have a thin bracket that would extend outward through the lips to support the nasal air pillows? I've found companies that will make a mout...
