Re: Switching to a FF Mask
Because of continuous nasal and congestion issues I'm trying to switch to a full face mask and convert to mouth breathing for when my passages are pretty blocked up. I tried last night for about an hour wasn't able to get to sleep and hoping to get some tips and advice. I found my lips where gettin...

Re: DME's Recommendation for New CPAP Supplies
One only needs two sets of linen for each bed--one on the bed and one in the wash. If you are lucky enough to have a linen closet, there are better things to put in it. (((And I do NOT mean the pool boy!))) LOL Unless you are like me and find hair balls in the middle of the bed or that your dog got...

Re: DME's Recommendation for New CPAP Supplies
My last CPAP and supplies were paid for by me, not insurance. Masks and headgear were unaffordable even on EBay. Worn out supplies don’t help your therapy, particularly when your CPAP is old. I won’t misuse my insurance this time even though supplies are covered 100%. Hoses and water chambers will b...

Re: Terrifying Dreams!!
Had my new CPAP and slept with it for 2 nights so far. No more bad dreams of not being able to breathe and waking up unable to breathe.

Re: Lincare is Rude & Incompetent
Thanks Trump for downgrading Medicare CPAP supplies re-ordering. Medicare recently changed the company that we have to deal with to re-order CPAP supplies thru Medicare. The old company was American Home Patient. The new company is Linncare. What a joke even in the name containing "Care". They are ...

Re: DME's Recommendation for New CPAP Supplies
Big surprise...manufacturers tend to recommend replacement schedules that coincide with what most insurance allows. Nice easy way to increase sales. Nothing like putting patient needs first, right? Especially when the patient needs to pay 20% of the cost. Not only do they ripoff insurance, they als...

You might want to try getting some quality Melatonin capsules if you are still having problems. Even with my Autoimmune Hepatitis and nonalcoholic Cirrhosis my liver doctor says it is safe for me to take.

Re: DME's Recommendation for New CPAP Supplies
Spoke with my DME about getting some new CPAP supplies, especially the cushions which distort and leak with just two weeks of use. Here is what the DME rep indicated which ResMed recommends for the replacement schedule, and this schedule is blessed by the insurance carrier: Headgear straps every si...

Re: A Bit of HEAVEN! Night #1
I wonder if readjustment of the mask was counted as the mask being off. I think so especially if you turned the machine off and back on when you did it. Also with the known mask readjustments you know you were awake during those times you refit the mask....so some of that AHI might be sleep/wake/ju...

A Bit of HEAVEN! Night #1
Oh my goodness! Night #1 with new CPAP and mask was a bit of HEAVEN! I fell asleep almost immediately, didn’t even get to read a page of my Kindle ebook! The resMed myAir app on my iPad gave me 91 out of 100 points. I slept 10.57 hours, no mask problems at all, mask on and off X7 of which I don’t re...

A minor correction. The CPAP machine uses a cellular connection, not your Wi-Fi.
