He wants me to stay off my CPAP for 2 WEEKS before the study. Any have any idea why. I asked the technician an she didn't know. 1) I would get another opinion. 2) I would not be opposed to sending my card to soneone on tjhis forum. There is a lot more than compliance information available on the ca...

If you are having trouble inhaling with you mouth closed or taped, then raise the pressure a bit to 8 or 9. It's unlikely pressures that low will be a problem. However, a pressure of 6 has three problems, in my experience: 1) Inhalation is difficult 2) The check valves on several full-face masks may...

Goofball, Goofproof, what's the difference? Just my very small attempt at a joke. Psst! Don't tell anyone, but I'm trying to raise Skinner's blood pressure on another post. I guess I'm bored...got to do something else for awhile..I think I'll go bug those 'experts" on the "Nikonians" forums for the ...

Hi Indy, sounds like you are off to a good start. Best of luck in the future. I really cannot understand why people are given CPAP machines set at such low pressures. Or APAP machines set at 4-20. There are three problems with settings lower than 7 cm/H2O: 1) Most full-face masks require a pressure ...

Anyone else ever heard of a titration of 4 ? No. Guest might be mistaken. My check valve won't stay closed at 4! Even though I'm not a medical professional, I think a pressure of 4 must be bogus. I don't think 8 will kill anybody. If it does, I'm sorry... _________________ CPAPopedia Keywords Conta...

Gee guest, I showed my sleep doctor a stack of Encore Pro printouts once, just to show him why I switched to an APAP, and how I was able to determine the proper range for the APAP. He was amazed. "I only thought there things kept track of compliance", was his remark. Next he contacted his NP for mor...

I used the Adams Circuit for a couple of years. However, I switched to the ComfortLite 2, in early 2006. The "TwiLite", and the CL2, along with the "Swift" are just improved Adam Circuits. The CL2 and the "TwiiLite", are both major improvements on this theme. I think you may find that many who are h...

Well first of all, let me say I have tried all kinds of chin-straps, and they just do not work for me. Furthermore, they make my head much too hot to wear. My full-face mask (with the chin flap cut off, of course) feels cooler on my face than any chin strap. Furthermore, A piece of paper tape is coo...
