There is nothing wrong with using your humidifier in "pass-over" (no heat) mode. Heavens 10 years ago we didn't even have heat for our humidifiers. I never turn my humidifier heat on when using my full-face mask. However, I do turn on the "Aussie Heated Hose", from time to time. Furthermore, I use b...

I love my Hybrid but my hypopnea index is running between 3 and 4. I'm wondering if this adaptive design will somehow reduce that. Just put a toothpick in one of the holes, and that will reduce it to same "flush rate" as the UMFF. I tried that for a month, I did see a small decrease in the snores. ...

I think the "ramp" feature adds little to those who use "auto" machines. With the minimum pressure set a little below your titrated (lab or home with the data), the pressure will probably not rise until the time is right. A couple of additions to the reasons already stated for not using a "ramp" are...

Like most of the posters, above, got my Hybrid in July of 2006. I am still using it about 90% of the time. My only compliant is my face gets too warm in the night, and I wake up with it sliding around. Maybe tonight I'll try it with the HH in "passover" mode and the Aussie hose off. I still like to ...

I would resist the temptation to use sleep aid if at all possible. They will only make your apnea worse. My suggestions would be as follows I think some of the latest studies say the newer sleep aids actually lower AHI. The other thing the studies uncovered is the "falling alseel at the whell" prob...

Please, fill out your profile, so those of us with your equipment can comment. It sounds like you are off to a good start. My first question would be: does your machine have EPR or Cflex?

Congestion comes in many forms. Here is what I do: Slight congestion - Salt-water rinse, mouth tape, and CL2/nasal pillows. (This seems to keep me clear all night, better than the FF) I think part of the reason this works for me is, I can run a much higher temperature on my HH with the CL2, vs. The ...

I would just change my minimum pressure to 7 cm/H2O and see if
the data changes any....

My machine is set at 8-12 and it runs at 9.1 cm/H2O, 90% of the night.

As I recall, my ComfortLite 2 came with two sizes of nasal pillows, plus
two sizes of Simple Cushions. Of course I got mine from cpap-dot-com.
Your provider may "adjust" the factory package.

At any rate if your going for the CL2, be sure the medium nasal
pillow is included with your order.

Well, I'll just repeat what was said before:

1) If you are not using a FF mask, your mouth may be dropping open when you go to sleep.

2) Your pressure range (min/max) covers too large of a span. Try 9-12.
