Re: Effect of EPR=3 vs. EPR=1 on S9 Autoset
I've thought about doing this a few times, but I fall asleep so much easier with EPR=3 when compared to straight CPAP, that I never got around to trying it. Given how the medical community tends to measure success solely on AHI being less than 5, I can see why they consider it a comfort feature. Lik...

Re: ResScan Has Caused an Exception Error
You should not have to reload the download if you click the save button before printing. As to the exception error, someone else had posted another thread in the last week or so about this happening with version 3.14, I believe. I don't remember whether a definitive cause or solution was found, but ...

Yes, that's a great place to start.Emilia wrote:Not sure if this is the right one for your machine, but this tutorial was mentioned for ResScan software: http://montfordhouse.com/cpap/resscan_tutorial/
Hopefully, someone with your machine or knows ResMed better than I can verify this for you.....

Re: Question about buying equipment online vs. DME provider
Have you considered what you will do if you buy online and the machine breaks? Unless a backup machine is available, what will you do while you wait for it to be fixed or replaced?

Re: OT: Asked if I had a gun in my home during physical.
CDC added ammo to the AMA's cause a few years ago when they labeled gun crime as an epidemic. I'm surprised they haven't declared breathing an epidemic as well given all those nasty pollutants and green house gases.

Re: What about thunderstorms?
No need to Bill, as an engineer with over 30 years experience in the power industry I can easily recognize his stuff for what it is -- mostly gibberish. He raises a few good points -- a properly grounded whole house surge protector is indeed the better protection, he fails miserably in his statemen...

The only thing that you've lost, so far, is the high resolution data. The summary, detail, and (most importantly) compliance data for yesterday will show back up once you put the card back in.

Re: OT Re: What about thunderstorms?
First of all, to me it comes through loud and clear you make your living in some fashion by designing, or manufacturing, or selling, or installing, whole house surge protectors, so your comments reflect a significant bias. ... Which is the reason I haven't responded to him. The mere fact that every...

Re: How do you protect your machine from electrical spikes?
Better check the current needed to operate your equipment. 2.5A max is very likely too low. And I would never trust my xPAP equipment to a cheap "supressor".

Re: Problems with Forum
I saw this and no response errors for a little while last night. I had no problem accessing other sites and http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/ said the site was reachable. Most likely, there was a server problem between us and the board.

Re: Issue With Resmed S9
Got the real deal today. They finally came up with a genuine S9 Autoset. (Says Autoset on the front!) They insisted on setting it on CPAP and not auto compensating. The clinician told me that the reason was people who sleep on their sides can have problems with the machine increasing pressure and a...

Re: ResScan - printing of customized reports
The render is internal. I just fired up Process Explorer to monitor the activity during a large report generation. ResScan's CPU activity was very high and everything else was comparatively very low.
It may not be so much a bug as it is ResScan's reliance on old DLL/code libraries.
