Thanks OkieOkie bipap wrote: ↑Tue Feb 09, 2021 7:36 pmCongratulations on getting him home. I always feel better when I am at home versus in a hospital. I don't care how good the hospital is or how well they treat the patients, I always feel much better at home.

Re: CPAP comes through at the hospital
Thank you, Maddie and Palerider.
Brought hubby home from the hospital today. Long road to recovery, but we're grateful and hopeful.
Good to hear from all you guys

CPAP comes through at the hospital
We both dislike our CPAP machines and frequently complain about having to use them, drag them through airports, etc., and hubby has had a couple of hospitalizations where the way the staff set him up with his machine made it near impossible to use all night. This time, however, is different. Hubby w...

Re: 86yr old mother adapting to CPAP - doubts & questions
I just now realize that the info I gave you was wrong. Her report (for insurance purposes I guess, although I've bypassed insurance altogether -still waiting on their call-) says (I've translated from Spanish): "Please authorize treatment with nasal CPAP at a pressure of 7 cm H2O, since she present...

Re: 86yr old mother adapting to CPAP - doubts & questions
Dulcecica, you said that your mom's doctor originally prescribed a CPAP with no auto -- what pressure setting did the doc prescribe? You mentioned "maximum 10" but if the doctor was prescribing a single-pressure machine, there's really no "maximum." I'm wondering if the doctor prescribed a straight ...

Re: Why all the hate?
Not all sleep studies done way back then would satisfy Medicare criteria. Do we have any examples among members whose study did not meet the criteria? The criteria are liberal and have become more liberal over time - https://www.cms.gov/medicare-coverage-database/details/nca-decision-memo.aspx?NCAI...

OSCAR: Mac Mojave, distorted text (font)
Wondering if this is a known issue with Mac OS 10.14.6, where the text in OSCAR looks like hieroglyphics. This is the first time I've opened OSCAR since updating to Mojave. Follow up: I'm not sure what happened, but I was able to work around the issue by going into Preferences and switching from the...

Re: resmed airsense 10 "wifi" ???
That usually happens only once, and ceases after a stern "YOU DO NOT HAVE MY PERMISSION TO REMOTELY CHANGE MY SETTINGS". (from what I've heard) :D I'm assuming -- hopefully correctly -- that before the DME can change any settings they would need to get doctor's authorization to do so. If that's tru...
