Re: resmed or ruby chin strap
a chin strap will not stop your lips/mouth from coming open when you sleep rendering it ineffective. try something homemade before wasting money on something that's not going to work

Re: Bed Risers
try using books or boards, something cheap to see if you get along with sleeping at an angle. not everybody can handle it. i sure couldn't. others do. i have slept on a wedge pillow for many years and it works just fine. mine is for gerd. it doesn't do anything good or bad for the apnea.

Re: Doctors want to know
any good board certified pulmonologist/sleep specialist should know how to correctly craft a justification for a new machine. if your doctor don't know how to do that, you need to find one that can. if the patient has to tell the doctor what to write the doctor is in the wrong field. the doctor has ...

Re: CPAP Tricare
I spent 20 years working in usaf hospitals and 2 years in a civilian hospital. using a military treatment facility as tricare pcp has its advantages for sure. the disadvantages of base accessibility and continuity of care outweigh any advantages. you can go to an appointment and find that the base i...

Re: CPAP Tricare
to clarify a couple things. when you retire you can go to the va or tricare. in tricare you can chose a civilian doctor as you pcp or you can chose a military treatment facility as your tricare pcp. you do not jump to medicare and tfl until age 65, actually it's the first of the month your 65th birt...

Re: CPAP Tricare
Go to your doctor and see what he can do. there is no more automatic new machine after 5 years. A good doctor that knows the ropes can usually get it done though. i've been retired 30 years and have never used military facilities or the va. i have no feel for how they handle it. thank you for your s...

Re: Surgery for muscles that have collapsed
Find a board certified pulmonologist that specializes in sleep medicine. he will tell you surgery very seldom works he will help you with cpap issues. It's what pulmonologists do. go to any ent and he will suggest surgeries before anything else. in the end it won't work, cause other problems and in ...

No. 3G will not work on 4G lines. If your phone is 3G that won't work either.

Re: Can I change what cell provider is managing my data?
CDMA is 3G. 3G is being completely replaced by 4G. In the future when your 3G is replaced, your machine will no longer have a network and won't be able to send on 4G. When you see machines for sale, make sure it says 4G and not 3G (CDMA).

Re: Can I change what cell provider is managing my data?
your cpap dials out and uses the first or closest cell tower it encounters regardless of provider name, no one tells it which cell service to use.
