Re: Full Face Masks

Hi old friends. *wave* (And new ones!) I have a nasty case of bronchitis. Went to put on my trusty Ultra Mirage FFM and discovered it was missing the elbow piece and the clip that attaches it. Tried jerry-rigging a few things (hat-tip, RG. lol) with no luck, so I'm having to use Afrin temporarily s...

Re: Silverlining Software Accuracy and PB 420 reliability

As a doc, I gotta tell y'all I'm impressed with the sophistication and knowledge on this site. However, in defense of the sleep docs, it's not just 'protecting their turf'. It's also 'covering their ass'. Not all patients are a sharp as you guys, there are people out there who will think that if th...

Re: Selling old machines

I have two old machines now that I'm on bipap : a respironics m serie cpap with cflex, and a resmed s8 apap which Id like to sell. Both have humidifier chambers and are very gently used. Does anyone know the best way to sell them? Problem is......you're not registered on the forum and nobody can co...

Re: There will be bad data...

Even if there IS a little bit of moisture left in the mask, that's not a big deal......it just adds a little to the humidity in the mask as the air blowing in picks it up. I mean, how many people have "rainout" in their hoses and masks? That's "moisture" (condensed water vapor).......and would essen...

Re: There will be bad data...

Honestly, it's to get rid of the excess water that's left on the mask and in the tube after washing it. When I first got it and rinsed it, I let it air dry, and it took about 18 hours. You're right on the tub and the hose, but I do like the mask to be non-drippy when I put it on tonight =) Yup, it ...

Re: There will be bad data...

Short story, I live in a basement apartment and don't like to leave things to air dry - because they never will LOL Also, since it's so often exposed to humidity, completely drying it out once a week will help keep down on mildew build-up, another problem caused by basement apartment living. Sunlig...

Re: insurance

I was diagnosed with sleep apnea many years ago. Shortly after that, I tried to apply for health insurance and was denied because they considered sleep apnea an uninsurable preexisting condition. I have not had any treatment for this condition in 8 years, mostly because I got frustrated trying to m...

Re: VPAP S VS VPAP auto 25

Alright Den, I figured out how to correctly sign-on LOL! Thanks for the info DreamDiver. I did not know ResMed had software that would allow me to to see how things were going. Re: Brain Damage from Machine?

On about March 11, I woke up face planted on my resmed Swift LT pillow mask and rolled back. Immediately after that, the Cpap machine Started up again and I realized that I had sealed off the exit port and was only re-breathing what was in the hose. Hey guys, doesn't that sound like Lantz is using ...

Re: APRIA Accounting Issues

Has anyone else rented their CPAP machine from APRIA Healthcare? What have you expereinced with regard to their billing and accounting? Ditto NightMonkey's post....... If you have the time and the inclination, here's a link I just did on a forum search on "Apria AND billing". http://www.cpaptalk.co...
