Re: Getting treatment soon and I'm a bit scared (plus: anyone prefers Dreamstation over AirSense?)
Well, as far as I know, although the For Her algorithm is "gentle" with the pressure changes to avoid arousals, it also makes changes sooner than the regular version, something like 3 apneas is needed in the default algorithm against only 1 in the FH version. This would make the FH version "faster"...

Re: Getting treatment soon and I'm a bit scared (plus: anyone prefers Dreamstation over AirSense?)
If you have a choice, I'd get the resmed airsense, autoset for her https://www.resmed.com/au/en/consumer/products/devices/airsense-10-autoset-for-her.html Actually, this would be my choice, but I don't have much power in the decision. Here's how the public bidding will be (I don't know if it's done...

Getting treatment soon and I'm a bit scared (plus: anyone prefers Dreamstation over AirSense?)
Well, this post is more like a vent with a simple - and probably stupid - question in the end. I just can't think of anyone to talk about this (specially because it's 1:41am). I'm in the proccess of receiving a machine from the public health system from my country (Brazil) and hopefully it won't tak...

Re: How come you can buy a CPAP mask on-line w/out script?
Yes, how come you can buy a CPAP mask on-line without a script? Thank you! Bill This is the wrong question. The correct question is, "Why the hell is a prescription required to buy a CPAP mask?" They afraid minors will start huffing CPAP masks? Maybe someone could get addicted to the hose, the nois...

Re: Why are all the posts in Chinese?
The forum is being flooded by some script kiddie, it seems. The posts are probably random chinese lorem-ipsum texts, news or whatever. The most effective way to prevent this is through CAPTCHAs, but the forum's software is probably old and/or it doesn't have this function. thanks for that, lucas! i...

Re: How come you can buy a CPAP mask on-line w/out script?
Well, here in Brazil you can simply buy a machine, a mask and everything. Actually, a prescription is only strictly needed if you're trying to get a machine in the public health system - which makes sense. And, honestly, I believe this is how things should be. First, no one is going to spend months ...

Re: Moral dilemma, buy their unused CPAP or send them here for help.
A moral or ethical dilemma must satisfy three conditions, none of which I see restricting you here: a. all options must be permissible in law and/or ethically; b. The options cannot be easily separated in terms of 'correctness' or value in outcome; and c. You must make a choice between any two of t...

Re: Google CPAP User Comfort Survey
Maybe this will be useful for some of you, if you don't know it, but you can have a temporary email account, with basically zero effort and for free. I personally use Guerrilla Mail a lot, but there are several other websites that provide this kind of service for free. I hope it helps

Re: Google CPAP User Comfort Survey
Also we have polls here. So because you created a Google survey makes me think personally you are going around to all the forums pasting the survey link so you can get all your results in one place in stead actually going back to all the forums. Well, this is actually something very reasonable and ...

Re: My AHI is between 10-15; Is it acceptable ?
To answer your question....AHI of 10 to 15 is NOT acceptable. +1 @tmrl, please take a screenshot of SleepyHead so we can help you analyze it. P.S Pugsy, can you access this link you've sent? I cannot access anything from "sleep.tnet.com". I'm gonna try using a proxy to "change" my location to US an...

Re: New not-a-user looking for some advice
Last question (I promise!) what is the consensus about the best model . . . if I should break down and decide to buy my own stupid machine just to get started on therapy, what should I look for? I would rather have the insurance I pay for kick in to supply the machine, but not if it means waiting l...
