Re: French Nurse Expert in Apnea's Treatment, don't understand..
If you have had a sleep study, be sure to get a copy of the results, then you will know what you need in the way of a starting place for your therapy if you buy your own machine.

Re: CPAP and bronchitis question
Take some Mucinex - that will bring up the bad stuff. The only pneumonia I got, I coughed just little shallow coughs, rather than the deep, from the toes kind.

Re: Rule/LAW that says DMEs can't deliver supplies automatically
If you divorce your DME and just pick up bargain supplies on e-bay, you will be able to lower your frustration level a bunch. I haven't had a DME call in 5 years - bliss.

Re: Mirage Fx Headgear Sliding Out of Clip
If you've looked at the headgear clip very carefully and it's not broken, look at the receiver part that it clips into. Seems like something has to be broken.

Re: OT: hearing aids, again
About waiting to get the HA - there is a level of "ignoring" for want of a better expression, that sets in if you go for a long time not hearing what's going on. I have to fight to pay enough attention to people in a crowd to figure out what they are saying. They say this gets worse the longer you w...

Check your insurance - mine pays about $2500 each ear every 3 years, I think.

And about that Pasta - there is a theory circulating around, don't know if it will ever be proven, that carbs like Pasta lose some of their "carbohydrateness" after cooling, so you can try them on your salad.

Re: OT: hearing aids, again
I have the Starkey Xino, and started having the same experience after about a year. I get a free exam each year, so when I went in I told them I thought I wasn't hearing as well, and they said the test showed no change. They turned up the volume for me, but that didn't help much. Don't know if they ...

maybe a clue to feeling starved for air
You folks who feel like they're not getting enough air, I might have a clue for you. I bought some cheap hoses and after a few weeks of use, had to tape up the attachments because they were leaking like crazy. Don't know if that would show up as leaks on your stats, but it might be something to try....

Good grief, Eric, an open sore on your tailbone sounds like the absolute pits! Sorry you had to put up with this. Good luck with your recovery.

Re: Recurrent Corneal Erosion due to Mask Leaks
It sounds kind of silly, but could you get the swimmers silicon putty and use it to make a dam inside your mask?

Re: New CPAP therapy not working right
Many of us spend our whole lives searching for just the right mask, but for now, you can settle for "tolerable". You need to know that there are 3 kinds of masks, nasal, which covers the nose and rests on the top lip, nasal pillows, which fit inside the nostrils, and the kind you have, which is call...
