Re: Resetting Data on the Remstar M Series

Hi Jeff, I copied this below from another thread I found. I will assume that you recognize this gets you into the Clinician's menu and you know to be careful with what you mess with in there. Were you wanting to erase data on the Smart card? This doesn't do that though I think there is some sort of ...

Re: A Night Without Sleep

Well I just had to go look and see just how the prices were.
The mask I use.
CPAP.com price $108
the sneaky spammer price $159

The machine and humidifier I use
CPAP.com price $669
sneaky spammer price $1,019

Needless to say, I won't go back.

Re: Clarification on gettin Rx written --ADD TO COLL WISDOM

What are the steps to erase the stats back to zero? I have the M series also and would like to know how to do that! Thanks. Hi Jeff, I copied this below from another thread I found. I will assume that you recognize this gets you into the Clinician's menu and you know to be careful with what you mes...

Re: Newbie report on Encore software findings

Thank you Wulfman and Ozij for your thoughts. I do appreciate your input. I will set auto to max and see what happens. I looked back at my other data (that I didn't post) and I see a couple of OA clusters where there were no snores to drive the pressure up. For the past couple of months since I star...

Re: New User--help/question

I also am new and using the Swift LT for Her pillows. If you haven't tried seating them without being attached to the machine, give it a go. I found it was much easier to adjust the pillows so that I could inhale and exhale easily if I wasn't hooked up to the machine. Trying to adjust with air flowi...

Re: DME

Hi Slinky,
How does the use of a humidifier factor into Medicare equation? Billed separately if a separate unit like with my Respironics M Series?
Thanks

Re: Newbie report on Encore software findings

If there are no centrals in your Hx, I would prob bump it up 2-3cms to see if that helped. Keeping track of your sleeping position may prove helpful. Thanks, No history of any centrals. I did specifically ask this question to the doctor's nurse. I take Ultram for pain. While one of the cautions for...

Re: Newbie report on Encore software findings

I guess I need to up my maximum pressure a bit. Today I feel everyone of those clusters of OA's. Woke up with headache. Multiple awakenings last night. Very common for me because of pain issues. Melatonin trial the other night made me very dizzy. I fall asleep easily but wake often. And yes, had to ...

Re: Best night so far, comments or suggestions!!

Well done Mike. I am green with envy. Last night was my first good night but I am even more of a newbie than you are. One week now with my machine. I started off with C Flex at 1 to start with. I may turn it off later but only after I have some more good nights to refer to. Keep up the good work. Br...

Re: Help with DME

RE: #6 I should have known from the way she talked to me before my titration study that we weren't going to get along. Rude and acted like I put her out asking my questions. The was at the first DME from Hell that I initially chose and ended up firing because they refused to even consider a Respiron...

Re: i need to purchase a new mask

Not just Apria. My DME (local not a big chain) just billed my insurance $255 for Swift LT for Her (mask and headgear). I can get the same thing from here for $108.

Re: i need to purchase a new mask

check the link here at the top of the page for "new CPAP.com Product". I have searched many online supply sites and this site right here is very competitive and I hear they will price match if you find a lower price. Some masks do cost a lot more than others. Also do you need new headgear? If not yo...

Re: Newbie report on Encore software findings

Thank you Ozij and GumbyCT

I will not worry about the data loss unless it persists regularly. I did do some reading about it and this eased my mind. Not a big deal if rarely happens.

Re: Womens hormone cycles and OSA

Interesting thought LavendarMist. I am pretty much past the hot flashes and such. They pop up rarely now. Even if HRT might help with OSA pressure needs, I wouldn't have chanced it. My mother had breast cancer, her sister died of breast cancer at a fairly young age as I was 6 when we went to her fun...
