Re: how do I hook oxygen tube into climate line for s9 autoset?

Well I went back up to bed discouraged and then thought why can't I just move the o2 plastic pc that was connected between the machine and the tube to the other end and connect it between the mask and the climate tube? So I did and it did work though I had to twine the 02 tubing around the climate t...

Re: how do I hook oxygen tube into climate line for s9 autoset?

Thanks for the clinician's manual it seems it can't be done. Rats and the climate line seemed like such a cool feature. AIR TUBING WARNINGS • If damage to the air tubing results in air leaking, stop using the air tubing. • Do not wash the air tubing in a washing machine or dishwasher. • The ClimateL...

how do I hook oxygen tube into climate line for s9 autoset?

Ok, obviously I'm tired and brain dead but this seems beyond me tonight. I can't see any way to use the adapter that I was connecting to my old machine that had the little nub to connect the oxygen, unless I connect it to the other end jsut before the mask and then the tube will be in his face? Seco...

Re: 2nd sleep study-need help buying an autopap from someone

I paid $325.00 for the AutosetS9 with the humidier and climate control tube, bag, software chip and chip holder, and now am crossing my fingers that the guy doesn't calling saying he needs it back. I do wonder at DME that would give an autoset as the first machine and then not open the masks and hav...

Re: 2nd sleep study-need help buying an autopap from someone

I did give up on going through my DME to upgrade the machine as I was getting no where- we'd gotten the machine while he was inpatient at a hospital at discharge and it was months before his medical condition was stable enough that I had time to research sleep apnea and find this awesome site. My DM...

2nd sleep study-need help buying an autopap from someone

Ok went for the follow-up sleep study in the hopes of getting in a ASV clinical trail, pressure started at 7 and they were up 13 and still seeing apneas at 13. (Meds had greatly changed and centrals were almost gone - 5 in 7 hours-so don't qualify for study.)They set my brick at 14 and I didn't tole...

Pulse ox report with hybrid Mask and 2l O2-what now?

Here is last night, machine is a brick so this is the only data I have. What am I really seeing here? Seems like for a man who's only 54, has no lung issues, that this is not successful treatment but how do I prove that? (Didn't hear many leaks either. He did get up between 7:30ish until 8am. then w...

Best mask for side sleepers?

Ok we've tried Quattro FX, and the Swift Nasal Pillows, lots of leaks when he rolls over. ( I hear them- machine only documents compliance)

What is next? What tends to work best for side sleepers now that we can get another mask?

Thanks,

Do sleep studies show more/less apnea than home monitoring?

Do your sleep studies routinely sow more apnea than your home information? I"m wondering if the odd setting and medical equipment contribute to a positive reading? What about for those who usually sleep with someone? (This is not meant to be provocative.) One of our children had severe apnea as an i...

How do you organize your data? anyone with a pivot Table?

Time to start getting a little more organized with the data. I'd like to see if nasal pillows leak work better or the Quattro FX or a hybrid as the first two don't seem to be very effective? Does the timing of the last dose of medication matter? Is his apnea positional? How do the rest of you organi...

Re: Dr says 0 obstructive was a typo? sleep study linked

My gut says what we are doing now isn't working but I've no clue what we need to to do to get to something that will. (Keep in mind this was a healthy man who was sleeping through the night, averaging about 7-8 hours sleep a night, except for a trip or two to the restroom at night a year ago. Naps w...

Dr says 0 obstructive was a typo? sleep study linked

Meet with Dr today and he says the original study had a typo -- that while there were 32 central (the 0 obstructive was the typo) there were actually twice that number of obstructive and therefor a cpap is actually the best way to treat. Otherwise an ASV would have been most appropriate. So he recom...

Re: What is the flat line? Is he not breathing? CMS50D+ report

Meds include Tramadol, Lyrica, warfarin, Elavil, Amlodipine, Doxasozin and Zoloft. We do suspect meds and pain are major issues.
