Re: Where to find Independent Medical Opinion
Everything in my OP here is in my military medical records. So I can easily prove all of what I said. Obviously this isn't in my records and getting them to write it out is unlikely but I made comments to nurses and PA that if did end up having sleep apnea that it would explain a lot of my medical ...

Re: Change in pressure
Based on your signature you have an Auto machine. I guess it would come down to what your issues are and what your data on machine says.
That's about as much as I can help.

Re: Change in pressure
Im sure I'll get corrected if wrong but I think they are talking about minimum pressure. Raising minimum pressure reduces events because it doesn't have to ramp up to get there.

Re: Where to find Independent Medical Opinion
That's why I need a medical opinion. The VA is tough. For example I have a large swelling on right forearm. It occurred at end of service and I had surgery on it before I got out as well. It was determined to be tenosynovitis but never showed up on MRI and wasn't as painful as you'd expect for tenos...

Re: Where to find Independent Medical Opinion
The reason why I started a new thread is because it's not a question of having sleep apnea that is a fact. I'm only asking because if it did start or caused by service then there are additional benefits I would receive. To get those I would need to figure out if it started in service or caused by it...

Where to find Independent Medical Opinion
I was wondering if anyone knows where to get an independent medical opinion on sleep apnea? I ask because I want an impartial opinion if it might be related or began in service roughly 10 years ago. Basic reasons I wonder is because all around the same time I had roommate could complain of snoring, ...

Re: Getting a Respironics Dreamstation auto pap
Thanks everyone so far! I just downloaded the clinical manual which was surprisingly really easy to find online. Once I get machine I'm supposed to call sleep place and set up appt in 30 days. I assume then they will officially give me settings. I'm definitely not opposed to making some changes befo...

Getting a Respironics Dreamstation auto pap
I'm getting it Tuesday apparently. So from what I can tell I can still use sleep head software right? Any recommended initial humidity settings or anything else as far as setting it up? I know they want me to start with min of 4 and Max of 20. Any other suggestions would be great. Anyone use the dre...

Re: VA has been good until now
When i went to VA about my sleep deprivation the other week asking for something to make me sleep better so maybe i would feel more awake i was asked a million questions. I kept saying anesthesiologist said i had sleep apnea and I'm awaiting on study results. But no Dr kept trying to ask me if i wa...
