Re: Yet Another Battery Q - Resmed Autoset 10

I live in an earthquake-prone area and need a way to run my CPAP even if power grid goes down for a week or two. According to my CPAP manual, my CPAP needs 24V, DC. I know battery questions have been done to death, but I'm confused by all the variables. I need a portable rechargable battery (why do...

Re: How to sleep deeper with cpap

Well, my comment would have to be that IF cpap therapy was really working well for you, you would NOT be waking up 4-5 times per night. So, something is still not right with your setup, and needs tweaking. You are going to have to post some charts to use to figure out why you are waking up so much. ...

Re: Plugged Nose with Nasal Mask

I use an Airfit P10 nasal pillow mask, and before that, I used a Resmed Swift II nasal pillow mask for like the last 10 years. I've never been able to tolerate a FFM. When I have nasal congestion, I STILL use the nasal pillow mask, and it tends to open me up just fine. Even if it didn't, isn't cpap ...

Re: Wife unable to tolerate CPAP noise.... Help!!!!

For balance, I've been on a P&B GoodKnight 318 cpap machine (brick) for 20 YEARS, until last month when I started wondering what kind of new machines might be out there, as I was scared what might happen if this machine ever failed. Yep, that machine has like 60,000 hours on it, and is still working...

Re: Wife unable to tolerate CPAP noise.... Help!!!!

If this is a new problem, then maybe there is a problem with your machine - repair/replace. To quiet a properly operating machine, open a cooler and set it over the machine . If still too loud, place some cloths on the cooler. I have not tried it but it should work. You know a Cpap machine needs ai...

Equipment: Respironics System One Machine Airfit F10 Mask. Location: The machine is off the floor, resting on towels with a pillow over the top. Insurance: I am a Medicare patient and all of my co-pays are covered with a supplemental policy. This machine is 5-10 years old so I wonder if Medicare wi...

Re: Air sense 10 has lost its mind

Try unplugging the power brick on the Airsense 10 from the back of the unit, and leave it unplugged for a couple minutes. Then plug it back in and see if it reset itself.

Re: Mouth leaks

Greetings to you. First message here. I am primarily a nose breather and I use a nostril mask (brevida). I believe that there is no leak with this mask. Nevertheless there are major leaks shown on Sleepyhead, some times associated with dry mouth. My understanding is that my tongue gets relaxed duri...

Re: Considering nasal pillows again... Taping suggestions

So my only issue with nasal pillows is that I get mouth leaks due to the pressure differential. can anyone suggest different taping tricks? My problem with tape is I could never find tape that stuck to me skin very well... either too oily or too much stubble I guess... (except for duct, but then th...

Re: neck pain

I switched from being a side-sleeper to a back-sleeper when I started using the cpap. It works great but I am having neck pain. I switched pillows (from very thick to super flat) and that helped some. I also sometimes sleep without a pillow which helps more but is not so comfortable. Any suggestion...
