Re: Some data occasionally goes “missing in action” in ResScan?
... ... Third, I opened my patient file (again) and downloaded the data (again) and STILL NO DATA! I'm getting REALLY frustrated with this "bug" and don't know how to resolve the problem. When you opened the patient file that time, was the summary data there? When you downloaded, which option (disc...

Re: Transfering Rescan Data To Another Computer
Find your patient folder on your desktop and copy all of the contents to the laptop - that's it. You don't need to use the SD card. The Save button actually saves your downloads and any peripheral data changes(profile, notes, etc) that you make to your hard disk. If you click the save button, ResSca...

Re: SD card question
DebMA,
The wordpad association is only an association on your computer. It should not have changed anything on your card. You don't need to do anything.

Re: There's gotta be a way....humidity problems
Although I don't mouth breathe when using my xPAP, on the days when I can't use it I not only used to get dry mouth but crapped lips as well. The only solution that worked for me was to get a whole house humidifier. That was over a decade ago. It cost me $400 back then, but I wouldn't hesitate to sp...

Re: Is one increment on yellow tab normal usage for S9 H5i?
I also average down to the first line below full each night with pressure at 10-13 and temp set to 75. But, I also have a whole house humidifier which keeps things in the 35-50 % RH range, so my H5i doesn't have to add as much as it would without the WH humidifier.

Re: Some data occasionally goes “missing in action” in ResScan?
I appreciate the input, but I am actually using an S8 with the smart card, not the S9 which uses a regular SD memory card. Although it really shouldn't matter, as the file locations should be the same in the program (I surmise). I found the "Patients.db" file in C:/Program data/Resmed/ResScan. But ...

Re: Some data occasionally goes “missing in action” in ResScan?
On Windows XP, they are located in C:\Program Files\ResMed\ResScan3\Patients\<patient name>, but I'm not sure about other operating systems.

Re: error code: check tube
When I got my S9 Autoset a few weeks ago, the DME told me that they had had this message on a few machines, so they gave me a heads up about. For a temporary fix, they said that unplugging everything would reset it (which may be why your DME didn't see a problem), but that I needed to call them if i...

Re: Do they ever break down?
My first CPAP, a simple ramp only machine with a mechanical pressure adjustment screw lasted about 13 years, dying just last month. Except for cleaning the filter and a couple of pressure adjustments, it never had any work done on it. I do not expect my S9 Autoset to last near that long simply becau...

Re: Some data occasionally goes “missing in action” in ResScan?
I had this exact thing happen a couple of weeks ago, after just 2 days on my S9. My first attempt, which was to delete the session and reload it from the card, didn't fix the problem. Creating a new patient file and reloading the data did work. Since then, I've alway chosen the discard option during...

Re: Largest humidifier capacity?
Bill is correct. I have an F&P HC300 at home and the capacity is 500 ml. I can certainly understand not wanting to invest in a room humidifer, so I do hope running 2 in series solves your problem. Waking up due to insufficient water would stink...big time. If running 2 in series doesn't work for you...

I've run out of time today. I have the charts ready to go, but not the post to go with them. I'll try to finish that up tomorrow. Sorry about the delay.

Re: Long Time Hosehead, Now Ex-Lurker
Thanks for the welcome, jabman. I know what it's like to get 2 diagnoses that quick. I was actually diagnosed with diabetes on the same day as OSA (same doctor). I just wanted to know why I was thirsty all the time, had blurry vision, lost 50 lbs for no reason, and woke up gasping for breath a numbe...

Long Time Hosehead, Now Ex-Lurker
I wanted to thank folks for such a wealth of information that has come in handy recently. I found CPAPTalk a while back and have read a lot of threads over the last few months. I was diagnosed in 1997 and had been using my original Nidek Silenzio CPAP every day since then. Well, up until it finally ...

Re: Python EDF Library -- To read cpap machine datalog files
ResScan only deletes high resolution data (HRD) when the discard option is chosen during download, assuming that the files haven't been corrupted. To be honest, I'm not sure exactly what the discard option was intended to do except save disk space on DME computers. I suspect that they meant for it t...
