Good point...my APAP is new, and I slept well...
so, I assume that it made the altitude adjustment correctly. Another variable must have eliminated the bloating. I even slept on the same buckwheat pillow. I usually have a problem 2/3 days and then didn't have even the slightest occurence for 7 days in row -- the exact 7 days I slept at high altitu...

Can altitude relieve bloating?...
I recently spent a week in the Colo Mtns (between 8,000-9,000 elevation) and for the first time in ages, I experienced no swallowing air/areophysia(sp?). I live in Alabama -- close to sea level -- and use Resmed autopap & didn't change any settings. When I returned home last night, the initial press...

Autospirit progamming/tweaking questions
The PB 420e has sensitivity settings and I wonder if 2 Autospirit set-up options might provide similar flexibility: Does the 3m hose option (vs 2m) make the machine more responsive/sensitive or does it simply increase the general airflow? "Honey, I'm sorry...no vacation this summer, Resmed is coming out with a new machine!" I'd like to get the PB 420 and try that as well. ...

French study
I came across the study from a google search -- auto cpap responsiveness variation -- some combo of words like that. I didn't read the entire report (you have had to buy it) but in the summary I gathered that it was published in a scholarly journal and that they tested 4 machines which all performed...

Info for anyone interested in Autopaps
Warning to those interested in autopaps! Last week I purchased a Remstar Auto Cflex . I had previously tried a Resmed Autospirit that my DME loaned me -- it worked pretty well -- and assumed that all autopaps worked the same. Since this was a long-term purchase I opted to get the Remstar with all th...
