Re: Possible Flowchart to Sound Sleep Success
Wow. Where to begin. I don't want to interrupt the current pissing contest or anything. First......telling someone that a cervical neck brace is a good alternative to CPAP if they FEEL like they slept "great" is dangerous as hell. Not kidding. Especially if your intended audience is newbies who don'...

Re: Sleep study proved CPAP is working, so why am I still so tired?
Have you had your thyroid checked? Your b12, iron, D3 levels? Hormone levels? It is easy to assume that these issues are all due to SA. But I learned the hard way that sometimes SA isn't the only issue. I had Thyroid, B12, and serious iron issues that went unaddressed for a very very long time becau...

Re: Buying used machines?
I have no plans to register anything or use the app. I have airplane mode on and don't have any desire to be linked to the manufacturer or anyone else.

Re: Buying used machines?
The seller and I talked for nearly an hour. Nice lady. Has a son the same age as my youngest. That was a question that did arise, because I am aware that some people do have to go through rental with their insurance. I never did. This isn't the first machine I have had. Lol. Just the first time buyi...

Re: Gaining weight on cpap
Not at all. I am asking a question about one possible component. Not suggesting that is the only or even the main issue. There is a difference.

Re: Gaining weight on cpap
I have lost 165 pounds and have kept it off for the past 5+ years. It is far too easy for people to talk about weight loss in terms of eat less and move more. Wouldn't it be nice if it was really just that easy? I once gained 7 pounds on a 200 calorie a day, 5 day liquid cleanse diet. No joke. Weigh...

Re: Buying used machines?
And for the record.....I have a prescription. It is 12 years old, but if I had to prove I had a prescription for cpap I could call up the local sleep center or my old doctor and put in a request for records. My script would be there.

Re: cpap user on how to get a new machine with high deductible ins
Honestly......I made the decision to just buy "used". Yesterday I drove 2 hours to pick up a brand new resmed airsense 10 autoset. A woman with an insurance that fully covered her machine had decided that she wasnt even going to try the machine for a single night. So I scored a brand new machine wit...

Re: Buying used machines?
Thanks for setting my mind at ease guys! I picked up my new machine today. Just as described. Brand new, in package. 0 hours on it. Brand new heated tube, regular tube, and even a brand new mask all in packages unopened. Now to sit down and get it all set up. I enjoyed my s8 elite and I can already ...

Re: Buying used machines?
No luck with my hunt for a backup...postings in Kijiji in my area are way overpriced, even those that are discontinued like the S9 and older. I can buy a new one cheaper than most of the postings. Dave No joke. I have seen people asking some seriously stupid prices for things like the S8 base model.

Re: Buying used machines?
And I will be picking it up tomorrow. My mom is coming with me. Lol. She had nothing better to do and I can always use some backup in case it turns out to be a kidnapping scheme.
